As I said before, scents have an uncanny ability to bring us back to certain days, times, and even people in our lives. I, personally, have two “signature scents”.

My fun, flirty daytime scent:
Juicy Couture- Watermelon, Mandarin, Pink Passion Fruit, Marigold, Green Apple, Water Hyacinth, Crushed Leaves, Tuberose Absolute, Wild Rose, Princess Lily, Tuberose, Caramel Creme Brulee, Vanilla, Precious Woods, Patchouli.

And my sexy, spicy, nighttime scent:
Armani Code Pour Femme- Blood Orange, Ginger, Pear Sorbet, Sambac Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Seringa Flower, Lavender Honey, Precious Woods Complex, Vanilla.
When Mr. Rainbow and I reunited after all those years, I was wearing my sexy scent (hey, it worked, right?!) and now almost every time I wear Code, Mr. Rainbow smells my neck and says, “that’s the perfume you were wearing when we met up in Orlando.” It melts my heart every time.
Needless to say, I’m hoping to create that same magic with a special “Wedding Scent”. Here are the contenders:

Marc Jacobs Lola- Pink Peppercorn, Pear, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Rose, Fuchsia Peony, Geranium, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, and Musk.
This was the first scent I was drawn to—just look at that bottle! I admit, I’m guilty of being drawn to (and almost buying!) fragrances without even smelling them, all because of the pretty packaging. I’m the ultimate retail sucker. Once I smelled this one though, it just wasn’t for me. I think it was the Peppercorns that did me in. Ack!

Michael Kors- Dewy Freesia, Tamarind, Chinese Osmanthus, Incense, Fresh Tuberose, White Wings Peony, Blue Orris, Arum Lilies, Cashmere Woods, Musk, Vetiver Haiti.
Admittedly, the bottle isn’t all that special, but boy, oh boy, that scent! It’s this delicious, sweet smelling, tuberose laden concoction that’s practically intoxicating. I love tuberose so much, you could probably pour it on dog poo and I wouldn’t even notice (OK, that might be a stretch, but you know what I mean). My only issue with this was that after the tuberose scent wore off, it just didn’t cooperate with my skin chemistry and started to smell like Mr. Bubble. I love me some Mr. Bubble, but not on the wedding day, mmkay?
Vera Wang Flower Princess- Orange Flower Petals, Tangerine, Water Lily, Woods, Musk Moroccan Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Green Ivy, Apricot Skin, Amber
Not only is the bottle fah-reaking adorable (a heart with a crown, seriously?!), but the scent is SO yummy, and who doesn’t like to think of themselves as a princess? I’m a sucker for fruity, feminine, florals, and I instantly loved this scent. Unfortunately, Mr. Rainbow didn’t love it quite so much, and what’s the point of a special wedding scent if the groom isn’t 100% on board?

Valentine Rock N’ Rose- Bergamot, Black Currant, Crunch Green, Orange Blossom, Gardenia, Muguet, Rose, Sandalwood, Orris, Musky Notes, Vanilla, Heliotrope.
Yet another fruity floral, but this one is a bit more sexy thanks to the musky notes. I loved the sweet femininity, while Mr. Rainbow was a big fan of the warm sexiness of it. Not to mention, I’m sure the vanilla/orange blossom combo reminds him of my beloved Code.
I test drove this scent while we were shopping and even after the top notes faded, it still smelled delicious. Needless to say, we both agreed that Rock ’n’ Rose was my go-to wedding scent!
Are you buying a special scent for your wedding? Did you and your SO shop for one together or did you choose it yourself?
