Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.

Something Red

February 13th, 2010 @ 6:15 pm by Mrs. Argyle

I would give my left arm (really, left and right arms) to own these shoes in red (Thank you to the wonderful photographer, Clary Pfeiffer for the photo):

I was on the hunt for the perfect red shoe to wear with my gown. I found a few contenders, but I wasn’t loving them:

I just could not find anything that really fit what I was looking for. BUT, if I knew that if I could own those blue shoes in red, the search would be over.

Take a gander at these beauties:

I am now the proud new owner of those GORGEOUS red satin Kate Spades. A wonderful friend of mine surprised me with a link to those shoes in red.

These shoes were a definite impulse buy (I mean, I was going to order them anyway). You see, I met Argyle BM Kate and her mom at my dress shop to try on THE DRESS one more time before I ordered it. While we were there, not only did I fall in love with the dress ALL OVER AGAIN, but I knew that I needed those Kate Spades. Literally the second I arrived home from the appointment, I ordered the shoes. And, lucky for me, Zappos upgraded my shipping for free.

Anyway, long story short, Zappos sent me some dude’s soccer shoes from Washington rather than those gorgeous Kate Spades. And, my Kate Spades went to some dude in Washington. Zappos could not ship them directly from WA to me; they had to go back to the warehouse. I feared someone would order them faster than a fat kid eats cake, so I re-ordered my shoes in the next size up.

And, luckily for me again, Zappos upgraded my shipping for free and actually shipped me the correct shoes this time around. I had them shipped to my office so I could immediately put them on (yes, I walked around in them in the office to show to the girls – it’s carpeted, don’t worry).

And, for your viewing pleasure:

@accorn: They are Kate Spade’s (same as the bottom red ones). They are only made in white right now, but keep your eyes peeled, as she does release them in colors occasionally.

Gorgeous shoes…I love Kate Spade. I’m a red shoe bride too! I bought the famous Stuart Weitzman Pomposo shoes in Ruby Satin, also from Zappo’s. Can’t wait to wear them! :)

I was totally a red shoe bride, until I found a gorgeous pair of ivory Badgley Mishka’s on sale at Nordstrom!! Couldn’t pass em up (and my justification was it was needed for wedding purposes :))

Those are my shoes too (in blue)! I am so excited to have them as my something blue and I love the red, as it is my favorite color. For those of you interested: You can buy them online at MyGlassSlipper and have them dyed!

I love those shoes! My shoes will be red also but I need a darker cranberry red so I will probably get dyables.

I am wearing the same shoes but mine are peep toe and only cost $99.99!
Kate Spade only made a small number of Red Clarice Peep Toes and then decided not to make more and they sold the rest to MARSHALLS/TJMAXX! Luckily I was able to snatch up the last pair in my size at Marshalls in Boston.
I love the shoes but they keep popping up everywhere on the blogs which sometimes makes them feel less special. Regardless I am glad you are wearing the close-toe Clarice pumps!

@chiefmishmish: They are Kate Spade Keeden.

@Jessd8837: Keeden is actually the closed-toe version. I had a friend wear the pink Clarice’s to her wedding. Love both shoes!

@Fayetteville Video: The blue ones are not made anymore (sadly), but you can buy the Clarice (open-toed version) in white, which are dyeable!!
