Bridesmaid’s Dresses Under $100

February 16th, 2010 @ 9:19 am by Mrs. Hot Wings

Today, we explore the world of brideswomen’s dresses that are in the $50-$100 range. You’ll notice that in this range, the dresses tend to have a bit more detail and use a slightly nicer fabric. Let’s start with some of the same online sources I shared with you in the $50 and under range. Starting with Lulu’s, you can see the fun, young, and flirty look. They seem to be a tad on the short and slinky side still. They’re very cute for nighttime, youthful parties.

Lulu’s Tranquility Dress in Purple - $72.00

Lulu’s Date Dress in Teal - $57

This next ModCloth dress can easily be worn for a daytime wedding. I can also see added DIY details such as rosettes, belts, and sashes.

ModCloth’s A Trace of Lace Dress in Copper - $62.99

Ruffles are so in right now, they’re flirty and easy to wear. The fuller skirt and tie belt make this number easier for a large range of body types.

ModCloth’s She’s A Lady Dress in Black - $64.99

Now, the ultimate in versatility is the convertible (aka infinity dress). Look at these Victoria’s Secret dresses. They come in a large number of colors and are really easy to order. Each woman can choose her own way of wearing the dress. This is an especially perfect option for destination weddings because you don’t have to deal with steaming and ironing dresses the day of the wedding. A second bonus is the additional savings you can get when you subscribe to their email list. I regularly get 20% off discounts on one item, so what is a $100 dress turns into an $80 dress. Score!

Victoria’s Secret Ruched Convertible Dress - $88

Bridesmaid's Dresses Under 0 : wedding bridesmaid dress Ftr10

Victoria’s Secret Flirty Convertible Dress - $95

My preferences are dresses normally priced under $100, but I’d love to hear about dresses that are under $100 when discounted or on sale! What are some other stores and locations to check for dresses under the $100 mark?

This is an awesome post - I wish I hadn’t bought my bridesmaid dresses yet! I definitely would have looked into these.

To answer your question about discounted dresses - two of my bridesmaids just scored this dress from David’s Bridal for $40. (It’s listed at $80, but I think the additional 50% discount was added at checkout.) I never thought I’d go with DB, but they had the exact tangerine color I was after for my maids:

Yay for inexpensive bridesmaid dresses!

My BMs got their dresses for $115 from J.Crew. They are wearing the Sophia short dress in navy blue. The dress is normally $165, but I got an email promotion for 30% off the entire order if you spent $250 or more. So I had all the girls pay me and then I ordered the dresses all at once so we could get the promotion. Bringing each dress down by $50! Not bad at all! We got their shoes on sale at Off Broadway shoes too - so their whole ensemble cost less than the original price of the dress!

I second the JCrew sale recommendation. They regularly put their `maids dresses on sale right before the seasons change. One of my girls (who waited to order a bit) got a $165 dress for 20% off, plus free shipping, plus a 15% discount for being a teacher. That, and they also regularly put those dresses on final sale…you just have to be more open about your colors!

we went the Jcrew route also! Signing up for their mailing list saved us a lot of money! We ordered the Sofia and Twist tank dresses in deep rose and they each came at $97-$100. We also ordered them together which got us free shipping. The best part was that they came in two days and looked great on everyone!

I STALKED the J Crew site over the holidays and swooped in with a 25% off code while the silk chiffon dresses were on sale and they were running a promotion for free shipping. Seventy-five each, and they don’t need alterations.

Cute dresses! I love the teal ModCloth one. Buying dresses online scares me though, unless it’s from a major retailer like Nordstrom. Now, shoes I have no problem with :P

J Crew girl here too! When they have sales, the prices can be really good. We got ours for under $85 including shipping. Its the Sophia short dress in Espresso. One thing is that depending on what color you want, you may pay more or less than for another color. So if you are flexible, you can get a really good deal.

Just FYI: the Victoria Secret rouched convertible is MUCH sluttier in person. I had to send it back :)

I love so many of these dresses, but call me a prude - a few of them are a bit too short (certainly for a religious ceremony).

Wow. All of the dresses you picked out are beautiful! I particularly love the first dress. I am seriously thinking about ordering one, even though I don’t really have anything coming up that I could wear it to haha! I guess I could always make up a reason. ;-)
