Mrs. Cheeseburger's Picture
Mrs. Cheeseburger, Baltimore, MD/State College, PA Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Engagement Date: June 28, 2008 Wedding Date: March 2010 Venue: Catholic Church Ceremony & Hotel Reception About Me: I'm a passionate girl from Pittsburgh, currently living in Baltimore for school, who loves Penn State, seeing movies, football, thunderstorms, black and white photos, Christmas, good beer, my amazing friends and family, and of course, my mister! We met, fell in love, got engaged, and will be married at our alma mater (go lions!) in a traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a hotel reception with lots of DIY details. It means so much to have our families and friends meet at our favorite place on earth to celebrate our love for one another - I truly couldn't ask for anything more!
About Mrs. Cheeseburger

I love the idea of having our guests share their pictures with us. I’m sure a lot of people will upload pics onto Facebook, but I have trouble saving pictures from there, so this will fix that problem!

I had seen this done by Mrs. Cream Puff (among others in the hive), and it seemed like a really cute and easy project to do!

This weekend I was finally able to cross it off my list! I set up a quick Word document and printed about 100 cards (probably way too many)—they were cute and to the point.

Give Me Your Pictures, Please? And an Oops. : wedding photography Picture01

But wait, look closely. Only after I had assembled all of my cards did I realize that my cards had a huge error.

Yep. Guess what, kids? It’s www.flickr.com not www.flikr.com, as our cards say!

Just keepin’ it real here, folks. Even Cheeseburgers make mistakes . :)

Good news, though! Luckily, I must not be the only idiot that thinks it’s flikr and not flickr, because www.flikr.com links to the actual site! Phew! So our guests will probably think I’m stupid, but oh well… they’ll get to where they were going. :)

Anyway, back to the DIY Project. After I had cut out all of the cards (they are 1.5″ x 2.5″), I cut out some 2″x3″ cardstock to back them and got started sticking them together.

Give Me Your Pictures, Please? And an Oops. : wedding photography Picture02

And because I didn’t have a box the right size for the cards, I made this little thingamajig to hold the cards. I’m thinking we’re gonna stick this on one of the bars.
Give Me Your Pictures, Please? And an Oops. : wedding photography Picture03 Quick and easy! I’ll be sure to let you know how many people actually take the cards and if we get any pictures uploaded!

Are you asking for your guests’ pictures, and if so, how?

That is 100% awesome that flikr points to flickr. You had some interweb angels looking after you. :)

I love this idea, and want to do something similar! I was just going to moo it, but i might DIY now!

I want to do a download station right there at the wedding, but we’ll also have an online gallery that people can upload to on our website.

This is so cute! I love this idea, especially since we have people that like to consider themselves photographers.

Haha - I love that flikr redirects to flickr! Lucky Cheeseburger :) With two posts about this today now I’m thinking I have to make these too!

We asked for guest photos using little cards like these. Unfortunately, only one person (out of the 200 people at our wedding) actually uploaded their photos. Lazy guests :(

I really like this idea! I think we might go with something like this too. Hopefully our guests will use it!

make sure you upgrade your flickr account to a premium one (i think it’s like 30 bucks a year), otherwise, there is a limit of pictures you can upload per month.

I loved this idea since I saw it on so many Bee’s posts. I used Picurio.com and it worked well, but I wish I had used flikr or flickr! :)

Oh that is lucky! And the bar is a great place to put it !
I’d love to do this too… I’m just worried it will offend the photographer! What do you think?

Hahahahahaha! You weren’t kidding about it going up today!

I really like the box idea! I’m just afraid not enough people will make it to the same place. Hrm…. Maybe two of them? I never make it to the bar at a wedding… I generally send Mr. S to grab my drinks for me. ;)

I love that idea, I just wonder how many guests at my wedding will actually bring their cameras :(

@MissCatherine: I don’t think it would offend the photographer. I think if a photographer got upset about that they’d be silly. I guess if she is nervous it would she could mention it to the photographer and just tell them you are hoping for some fun guest pics to include in the album. :)

Do you worry that any of your guests will change your password on you? I want to incorporate this idea, but I’m kinda paranoid that somebody will change my pw on me.

Have you done a test to make sure this doesn’t happen to you?
