So you just read about our glorious Save the Dates, boarding pass style! Well, I’ll now confess that before I became a blogger and realized that the wedding blogging world would see my lack of creativity, I was a DIY copycat. Yes, I admit it. A copycat. I know, say it isn’t so, but it is. But here is hers.

Here’s mine.

I straight up copied Mrs. Piglet’s boarding pass STD. I’m sorry Mrs. Piglet. At the time, I didn’t think I’d have to admit it publicly. I soo admired your creation.
Similar to Mrs. Piggy, I used a boarding pass template from Aylee Bits. I used Adobe Illustrator. I bought the Swirling Flourishes (#6638495) to use as my “waves” and the palm tree (#4392120) from istockphoto.
However, different from Mrs. Piggy, I do not have a Gocco machine and at the time we didn’t have a color printer. So instead of adding color to the actual Design of the STD, I decided to add an embossed Sun and cardstock aqua backing.
So here are some instructions to help others that who have been inspired by Mrs. Piglet.
Materials:

Instructions
After designing your STD to your liking, print 3 per page on Linen Cardstock. Make sure your images bleed out past the cut marks to ensure some room for error.
Use a paper cutter to ensure straight cutting. If you need to error while cutting, I suggest error towards cutting inside the STD outline.

Use your corner rounder on all 4 corners.

Hand cut the little “butts” on the left hand side of the boarding pass. I was unable to figure out a different way of cutting them.

Embossing the Suns
Place the STD on top of a scrap piece of paper. Use clear embossing ink to stamp your sun onto the STD. I just eyeballed all of them.

Pour an ample amount of embossing powder on the wet ink, then dump the excess onto your scrap paper.

Use your embossing heat gun to melt the embossing powder.

Final Steps
Use double-stick tape to mount your STD onto cardstock. Use your paper cutter to cut it off.

Round the corners of the cardstock. I let Mr. Hot Wings do this because the cardstock took much more pressure than the linen cardstock.

Cut the Business Card Magnets into 1/4”-1/2” strips. I was able to get about 10 per magnets per card. Just eyeball it; precision is unnecessary in my opinion.

Peel off the magnet and stick to each side of the STD.

Et voila! A magnet STD.
