So I bit the bullet and did it. Envelope liners, I mean. I was stuck in the house for about ten days solid, and had to do something! First I read many other bees’ adventures with this same thing. Then I got to work.
Here’s where I ended up, inside and out, as tease:
One major hold up occurred during my envelope excursion. The Pencils’ envelopes were not your average envelopes, with available liners. Ohh, no, that’d be too easy. I made my own, after a bit of trial and error.
I bought 200 brown bag Kraft 100% recycled envelopes here. Mine are the Number 10 square flap, and cost 10 dollars for 100—sweet deal, me thinks!
First, I made the template with cardstock and traced it onto green cardstock.
I used a variety of greens and yellows and cut them out one by one. Yes, it’s true. I didn’t let Mr. Pencils cut them out until the very end—my self induced perfectionism and anal retentiveness worked against me.
I pasted each one:
Who needs a bone folder? I used a dinner knife:
I think it worked just as well!
Many, many, many hours later, I had 120 lined, recycled paper kraft envelopes ready to be stuffed with plantable invites:
