I have some SUPER BIG NEWS today!!!!!! News that definitely warrants the overuse of capital letters and exclamation points. 
Mr. Pudding and I attended our Change of Status interview today, and I have been approved for a Green Card! It’s coming in the mail, and in as little as two weeks I will finally be able to work, travel, and generally contribute to society once again!
We are beyond excited! The interview went very smoothly, and upon exiting the building Mr. Pudding gave me a giant SMOOCH! It’s been such a long road, but we’ve finally arrived!

We celebrated by singing “Born in the USA” and “American Woman” on our drive home - well, actually, I sang, and Mr. P rolled his eyes at me. 
We also stopped by a local grocery store to pick up a piece of the American Dream.
Anyone else going through the immigration process?
P.S. Do not be mistaken: as far as hockey is concerned, it’s TEAM CANADA ALL THE WAY!

Congratulation I’m applying for permanent residence in Canada. It’s such a terrifying and complicated process.

@Laura: Mr. P and I originally applied for Canadian citizenship for him. I did all that paperwork, and than we changed our mind about where to live. Let me know if you have any issues/questions….out app was approved super quick!
congratulations miss pudding!! that is a huge deal and such a big relief. i always think about that movie “green card” when hearing about this process.

We have both just accepted jobs in Vancouver, so I’ll be applying for my Canadian citizenship…I don’t know where to even start! Congrats on your new country.
