Mrs. Sewing's Picture
Mrs. Sewing, San Mateo, CA/Honolulu, HI Age and Occupation: 24, Electrical Engineer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Electrical Engineer Engagement Date: June 27, 2009 Wedding Date: July 2010 Venue: Anela Garden Chapel & Japanese Cultural Center, Honolulu About Me: I'm an easily entertained, compulsive idea-scheming machine who loves good art, good food, and a good engineering challenge. I'm planning a half-destination wedding on the beautiful island of Oahu - imagine a plethora of movies, art and games; savory Hawaiian food; blended Chinese and Japanese cultural details; lush, fragrant tropical flowers and all the air conditioning a NorCal native could want! And once I marry the love of my life, we'll come back to the 'mainland' to party it up all over again in my hometown of Salinas, the salad-bowl capital of the world!

E-Pics: Day 2

March 2nd, 2010 @ 2:21 pm by Mrs. Sewing

Remember the yukata Mr. Sew’s family sent over from Japan? Remember that they sent them to California so we’d have time to practice with them before we left for Hawaii? Well, that never happened. We never practiced.

So there we were, day-of, trying to tie the ridiculously hard obi.

At least we had instructions, which we tried our best to look at from Mr. Sew’s iTouch.

But we got it all done, somehow, and headed out the door for the Byodo-in Temple in Kaneohe. You might recognize it as the place where Mrs. Sushi got married.

It’s a beautiful place, that’s for sure!

Mr. Sew’s grandmother was very excited about us wearing the yukata, and requested pictures. I’ll have to print some out and send them to her! But other than that, I’m not sure what else to do with all these. I’d hate to have spent all that time cloning random tourists out of the pictures for nothing!

If you took engagement pictures, what did you end up doing with them?

Great pictures! That location is so beautiful. Is it bad that I always think of Sun & Jin’s wedding on Lost when I see it? :)

Love these!! That booty bump one is so cute!! We ended up framing the pictures around our house. But otherwise, nothing, they’re just nice to have.

Cute! I like the one of you guys walking over the bridge with the umbrella. We took engagement photos and really didn’t anything with them..other than make 1 enlargement for our wall. Sad, I know.

@LatteLove: I sooo got married there before Sun and Jin. ;)
