Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.

Pocket Schedule

March 2nd, 2010 @ 3:30 pm by Mrs. Argyle

Since I’m pretty Type A, I love to be prepared for everything, with a timeline and all the details mapped out. I can’t help it – I just really hate to be unprepared.

And, with bridal parties, most of your bridesmaids will care about the details as much as you, so they appreciate your schedule and timeline. Your groomsmen, however, will not. You’ll hand them a lovely little schedule of the activities and where they need to be and when, and they think, ‘Great.’ And, the second you turn around, in the trash goes that lovely little schedule you worked so diligently on.

Heartbreaking right? Well, I found this great idea: a pocket schedule. You can give it to the guys to keep in their pockets. Heck, you can even give it to your bridesmaids and close family members who need to know what is going on during your wedding day. The guys can put them in their pants pockets or suit coats, and the ladies can drop them in their clutches.

Genius, right? Yes, yes, I think so. And, if you are wondering what these lovely little pocket schedules look like, Miss Apple Cider posted about the pocket schedules she created for her wedding. They are adorable and match her invitation suite and wedding theme perfectly.

The best part? She created these little beauties on her computer and printed them out home. It’s such an easy DIY project!!

With my DOC package came a timeline development. So, while I won’t be creating the timeline, I fully plan on creating similar pocket schedules for the guests like she’s done. It is so practical and convenient.

Did you have a wedding day schedule or did you just wing it?

Those look great!! Very cute - I love the fold. Ohh Don’t worry… My wedding isn’t until July and I have prettied-up timelines done for the girls, the guys AND family members.

Being a veteran bridesmaid, I appreciate knowing where I need to be when, who my appointments are with and what is coming up next. I think I had these done 6 mo. out! I was excited about them… :)

I haven’t posted them on the planning blog as not to look like such a type-A to everyone before they receive them.

I feel like we’re okay doing without, since we only have people in the WP and the entire shindig is taking place at one venue, so it’d be a pretty thin schedule. (”Show up, stay there for many hours, go home.”) Apple Cider’s are beautiful though!

That was meant to say “only have five people in the WP” …

those are great and probably helpful with a large bridal party. i don’t anticipate ours being too big so i’m not too worried about coordinating too many people

I love this idea - I would love to do it but I’m pretty sure no one would appreciate it, haha.

I just started working on my timeline and am OVERWHELMED! This is a cute idea to give to those who don’t need all those crazy tiny details (i.e. where the favors go and what time the DJ arrives) strictly when where and why. LOVE it.

@gibsonkk: Haha. Gotta love us “Type A” brides!

@mm35: Try sending Mrs. AC a PM about the template.

@LittlestBirds: Very good point. I have a few people that are perpetually late - so these little guys are a must!

@Miss Lace: I haven’t decided - quite possibly. Seems to be the best way for storage, too!

@jgoulart: It’s definitely for those who just need an overview of when and wear!

I am making little schedule cards for my peeps. Just a little card with icons showing where to be, and what is going on when! I figured the maids will be with me, and will be ontime, but the boys are with my groom… hopefully someone is watching the clock!
