I love art (all kinds). I don't have any secrets. I talk a lot and listen even more. I show love by baking. I'm timid by nature, but brave when it counts. Mr. Bunny and I work at competing weekly newspapers, which makes it a little interesting trying to describe our work joys and frustrations without giving away too much before the paper comes out. In spite of that little hurdle, we've managed to build a pretty solid relationship in the short one-and-a-half years we will have been together when we tie the knot. I can't wait!

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II

March 3rd, 2010 @ 6:19 pm by Mrs. Bunny

At the end of Bunny Bachelorette, Part I, I left you all guessing where we headed for the party.

If you guessed bowling, you were right!

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bowling Hmm… which one is mine?

We headed out to a small town outside Columbus, Plain City, for our bowling excursion. The bowling alley there is small and quiet, usually. It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bachelo07 Once we got there, we hung up our fancy shoes…

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Crazysh

… and exchanged them for bowling shoes. We looked sooooo good. ;)

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bowling01 Right girls?

Sister Bunny gave me a whole roll of quarters and told me to take over the jukebox just in time for cosmic bowling!

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bachelo08

It was a bachelorette party, so of course I kept the pop music rollin’. Britney, Christina, and the Backstreet Boys were all invited.

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bachelo09 Being the awesome maid of honor that she is, Sister Bunny also bought me a couple rounds of rum and coke. What? Just cause hardly anyone else was drinking didn’t mean I couldn’t. I’m a lightweight, so those two drinks made me tipsy. As an unexpected side effect, my bowling drastically improved throughout the night. It was the only time I’ve ever bowled a turkey!

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Dancin I rarely dance, but this occasion called for it. The other girls had a good time, too, I think.

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Airguit My cousin rocks the air guitar. Oh yes.

Bunny Bachelorette, Part II : wedding bachelorette party columbus Bachelo010 And a shot of all the girls together!

After we wrapped up our evening of bowling, we headed back to the house that held our ginormous fort, where we built a bonfire outside, ate s’mores, skinny dipped in a private pond, and stayed up past our bedtimes. It was excellent.

Consider this blog post proof that you don’t need alcohol or plastic penises to have an awesome bachelorette party (but the booze might just make you a better bowler!).

Wanna tell me about the best bachelorette party you’ve ever been to? I’d love to hear about it!

a fun one i went to without the booze, was a small one with friends. we had a feast at my house [my mom cooked and i made dessert: molten chocolate cupcakes!] and then went out for karaoke. there’s a noh re bang a few towns over that has private rooms so occasion for stage fright! it was awesome and totally want i want to do for mine.

Little peenies anywhere just make me shudder! I have heard there is a b-party being planned for me but I think bars, shots (I’m a lightweight and it puts me to sleep) and peenies are in the works UGH

Amen! The best bachelorette party I’ve ever been to was at a hookah bar, followed by karaoke at one of those places where you can rent your own room. If you don’t want shots/pink/penii at your b-ette party, say so!

So much fun! I miss bowling, even though I’m SO BAD at it.

I’m so glad I’ll be able to have a great time without bringing the plastic dicks along. :p I’ve made a no-genitalia mandate.

Way to rock the bowling shoes, Bunny! I didn’t have a bachelorette… but am now kind of wishing I had.

That looks like so much fun!!! I love the shot of you and all your girls @ the end. Well I’ve only been to one bachelorette party. We had a Hawaiin Luao theme. It was fun the bride was surprised she was not expecting anything (it was a shotgun wedding lol) but we surprised her and she had a blast.

Looks like a blast and seems like you enjoyed. Taking over the jukebox was a GREAT idea (hope the other bowlers didn’t mind!!!)!

I specifically asked my MOH to avoid drunken bar nights with plastic penises… I hope she listens, because while that would totally be HER scene, it is not mine.
