Remember my choice in this post and then my second-guessing and new choice in this post? Well, Amy and I went down to David’s Bridal to end this tug-o-war once and for all!

It went great! I had her try on the trumpet style and the short-ruched dress, just to see how each fit. We didn’t even take a picture of the first one because it was just that bad! Not that it made Amy look bad, it just wasn’t a good look and TOTALLY did not go with our aesthetic…

The second dress, however, was a total knock out! She looked AND felt amazing in it! And with the boots? OOOHHHHH MAH GAWD! Gorgeous!

Wanna know what color I chose? It’s the color I was leanest furthest from, but it ended up looking incredible with the brown boots, and it’s totally flattering on most skin tones! Can you guess?? If you said Candy Pink, you were right!

The only hiccup is that it’s slightly over budget, at $135. I ran it by the bridesmaids and they all said it was A-Okay, so no biggie! Totally worth it!

OK, so I am officially excited! Not that I wasn’t already, but this dress search was really beginning to wear on me! I’m so glad we found a great dress!

Amy had brought her and my FBIL’s son with her, so of course we had to stop and spoil him a little! I bought him a soft, fuzzy polar bear from Build-A-Bear and H.Dawg decided to deck him out! Tee, jeans, Lugz, and even some Aviators!

Now, see that little hunk in the second picture??? That’s my future nephew WEARING the bear’s Aviators… TOO CUTE!!! And he actually loves to wear them! What an awesome baby!

Love the look!!!!

I absolutely went for a color combo I simply banned from ever being in any wedding of mine!!!! I swear - EVERY wedding I ever saw that had navy blue in it, I just wanted to puke. I could NEVER see why anyone would have navy blue as a color.

Fast forward a year and here we are - navy blue, pearl, and gold. And for a SUMMER wedding. But it was for a good cause…the FI doesn’t like to make wedding plans and HE came up with the color combo - he says because it fits with our theme, which is Scotland (we’re getting married there), I say because he’s a big Notre Dame fan. Whatever the reason - it’s our color combo now, and I’ve totally embraced it!!! I wouldn’t trade it for the world now!!!!

That’s the dress I chose for my maids! It looks amazing on every single one of them…or at least every single one who has gotten a chance to try it on.

That’s the same dress I picked for my maids - in horizon So cute/comfy and it has pockets which are a huge bonus! p.s. Love the boots!

I almost picked that same dress, in clover. We loved the pockets so much, but I decided that it didn’t fit the style I was going for. My bridesmaids were a little disapointed when I told them. : )

Yay! That’s half of my BMs dress! In Kelly green though. I really didn’t like it until I saw it in person, then I loved it. =]

My sister would be so jealous. That’s the dress that she really wanted to wear, but one of my bridesmaids didn’t like the way it fit.. Glad to hear you have that decision behind you.. I know that the maids dresses were hard for me too!
