So, for attempt #2, I sent Mr. Hot Wings and Twin Brother Hot Wings down to Macy’s to try on suits and pick out a couple options. They decided to pick out 2 suits: one for larger guys and one for the slimmer guys. (Interesting that they thought this was a good idea, but I let it go) This time they got help from a salesperson immediately. Here’s what they chose:

The salesperson actually told them about a suit sale Macy’s would be having starting the following week!
The total cost per suit ended up being $192 (Ralph Lauren) and $166 (Alfani) before taxes for each suit, respectively. Great, right?
Here’s my concern. It’s a striped suit and a solid suit. The solid gray Alfani is somewhat lighter than the Ralph Lauren stripped suit. They also have different lapels. I needed evidence they wouldn’t clash with each other, so I made everyone go back to Macy’s.
Below are the jackets next to each other and a picture of Mr. Hot Wings and a Wingman on each arm.

What is Wingman B doing, you ask? It’s a bromance. There’s no other way to describe it.
The numbers are even—four men in the striped suits, and four in the solid. Everyone has bought their suit already so I guess I can’t really go back on this decision!
But, what do you think? Is it OK to have mismatching suits?
