About Mrs. Hot Dog

I just heard some GREAT news! The National Weather Service says that it’s going to be a warmer and dryer winter than usual up north!

You know what this means?! A warmer and DRYER summer!

And since we changed the date to late summer, we may NOT need a tent! Although it wouldn’t be horrible to have one, my original dream was for an outdoor ceremony and a reception under the stars (and some cafe lights ;) ) like in these pictures:

I love the idea of dancing and mingling out in the open, in the middle of a meadow, with twinklie lights framing the dance floor and candlelight flickering on all the tables… MMM.

Are you worried about the weather on your big day? Do you have a Plan B?

Oh i just LOVE those lights. So adorable!

Our wet weather plan consisted of…. stashing a giant golf umbrella in the trunk. :P

Our reception’s in a tent no matter what but I still am worried about the weather for photos, transportation and general merriment…Please, sun gods, smile upon my wedding day, I beg of you!!!

Arg, I’m checking the weather report daily. It’s too early to say for sure, but I’m pretty sure we’re going to be having a rainy day wedding. We have a plan B, it’s just not as pretty. :(

We only have a Plan A - we bookde an indoor venue. It was less about the possibility of rain and more about the heat and sweatiness! :) I love a warm evening wedding in the summer. Sounds like fun!

Thanks! You just reminded me to check our 10-day forecast- sunny and 79 degrees… what a relief, hope it holds… and hope you have similar good news!

Where the Magic Happens: The Great Outdoors! | Weddingbee

[...] Where the dirt is will be gray gravel and that ugly brown fence will be taken down prior to the big day. FFIL and Step FMIL offered to get us a tent, so we’ll go ahead and set that up out in the field. I’m thinking (depending on weather) that one whole side of the tent will be open so that we can still have much of the reception outdoors a la my vision. [...]
