Because I’ve been bangin’ out projects like they’re going out of style! I finished all the bridesmaids’ gifts, made myself a hair flower, learned how to make a sewing/fabric-folding flower, AANNNNDDDD made my ring bearer pillow!
I posted about my inspiration for it already and today, it came to fruition!! Wanna know how?? OK, well I started taking pictures part of the way through, so you’ll have to visualize the first few steps.

Now that it’s all sewn up, you can do pretty much whatever you want! I decided to put the gather in the middle of the pillow:
Using the kanzashi flower tutorial, I made a larger one, using 8 petals.
Then I attached it to the pillow, over the gather, with a blue button. I tied a ribbon through the button-holes beforehand, and this is how it turned out!

Cute, right?! I may attach some elastic to the underside of the pillow to make it easier to hang on to for my little guy.
There really are limitless possibilities for this! And it was SOOOO easy! Maybe I will have all the projects done 2 months before the wedding…
Are you DIYing your ring bearer pillow? Are you using any interesting materials or techniques?
