Victory!!! It was official. ‘Til death do us part. Lucky him. Heehee. Our ceremony had lasted 30 or so minutes leaving just over an hour for wedding portraits at Lanikuhonua. After moving from one embrace to another, we gradually made our way to the portraits area.

Gathering the masses was surprisingly easy. Taking cues from the ridiculously talented Mrs. Eggplant (xoxo thank you!), we added a page in our program requesting that people stick around for formal portraits after the ceremony. And they did. Everyone waited patiently, chit-chatting away, until my “surround sound” sister announced their turn. It worked like a charm. Amazing, I tell you! Take note of this!

After wrapping up the family portraits, we spent the remainder of our time taking bridal party shots. Here’s one of the entire entourage including the kiddos. They had no desire to stand in for the pictures. Look at Adam holding our ring boy hostage! Could they be any cuter? Don’t think so!

Ah, the infamous jump shots. No hang time from me, unfortunately. But look at Mr Piglet… so chivalrous extending his hand to me.
Wes and Adam on the other end had NO idea what was going on. Their dumbfounded expressions are hilarious.

Then we split off, Ben with the boys, and Erin with us girls. Standing and posing wasn’t manly enough for the guys. They felt the need to work for a good shot. So jackets off, they perched themselves in a tree.

And got in trouble for doing so. Ahh, boys.

We had no qualms having zero originality.

They really got into it.

Ben and Erin helped me with my posture for the next one. They told me to kick out my knee since curves were non-existent on me.

Sitting pretty.

We all rode back to Waikiki together, snacking on musubis (spam & rice wrapped in seaweed) along the way. We had a couple of hours to spare before meeting again for pictures in Waikiki, so we parted ways and did our own thing. Some of them ate, others went to the beach. The Mr and I went to our honeymoon suite and passed the eff out.
For the Waikiki session, I had two requests for bridal party poses, one being in front of the Moana Surfrider sitting in the rocking chairs that lined the front porch. We called it our Vanity Fair shot. ![]()

We changed up the formation and facial expressions. Needless to say, this sequence is one of my faves of the entire collection.

We worked our way through the hotel beginning with the lobby.

And ended in front of the banyan tree at the back of the hotel.

My last request was a Beatles wannabe shot of the bridal party crossing Kalakaua Avenue, the main strip in Waikiki. It’s amazing what you can get away with as the bride, regardless of how cheesy it is! ![]()

And finally, a *bonus* behind the scenes video from Kai Media. I did the editing to slice this video into a short clip for your viewing pleasure. It’s me, not them that did the rookie fades at the end.
