Mrs. Jellyfish's Picture
Mrs. Jellyfish, Pleasanton, CA Age and Occupation: 27, Law Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Air Force Pilot Engagement Date: February 21, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery About Me: In a nutshell, I’m the most optimistic worrywart you’ll ever meet. My family emigrated from Romania to San Jose, CA when I was 8, and I've been a Nor Cal girl ever since! My fiancé is also a Bay Area native, so it’s funny that we met at UCLA, as college freshmen living on the same floor (go Bruins!). Between his career as an Air Force pilot and my path to becoming a lawyer, our relationship has been anything but typical. We currently live together in Berkeley with our puppy Stinson. In addition to spending time with the loves of my life, I enjoy crafting, attempting complicated recipes, environmental law and non-law school reading (Us Weekly, anyone?). Follow along as I plan an elegant 200-person winery wedding, graduate law school, take the Bar exam, get married and get used to the always unpredictable but never boring life of a military spouse!
About Mrs. Jellyfish

Shoes. Ohmygod. Shoes.

March 5th, 2010 @ 9:45 am by Mrs. Jellyfish

I love shoes. Maybe not as much as Kelly, but still… a lot. I love them so much that I’ve already started thinking about what type of shoes I want to wear on my wedding day. One thing I know for sure is that I want to have colored shoes!

Maybe my shoes can be my “something blue”…

… or perhaps some red, daring shoes would be fun peeking out underneath my dress…

Lately I’ve also been coveting these delicious J.Crew satin peep toes:

I love the peep toe look. My dream shoes are the Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby pumps, but I’m not sure I can bring myself to cough up the hefty $715 price tag.

Buy them for me here :)

Which ones do you like best?

Mmm. I heart the JCrew ones, but I wish they were in a bright color!

But…that would be making things too easy, wouldn’t it? ;)

So lovely! You can’t go wrong with a pretty pair of peep toes!

I just realized that my ceremony shoes — from Mootsies Tootsies — were inspired by those Manolos. (Guess who knows nothing about fashion. Ha!)

Love the red ones, I very nearly got those! And the manolos do go on sale from time to time…

Love the red ones… and love the J.Crew, but I would opt for the blue ones they have in that style… they could still be your something blue!

The J.Crew shoes rock. I do agree if it comes in a bright colour, that would be more fun!

I LOVE the Red ones! Myself i am wearing Purple ones under my dress. They are a bit pricey (100 bucks) and High but i thought about how i wanted some of my pictures done and i think those shoes would look great in pictures. Good luck! =)

I love colored shoes on a bride. You should definitely go for it! But maybe not the Mahnolos? Unless you can afford it! I’m having the hardest time find the perfect colored shoe to wear with my dress.

I couldn’t find a pair of shoes in my one real color. (we are doing black and white with a bit of green and a bit of silver) So I went with ivory to match my dress. I’m picking up the dress today, so we’ll see if they actually match :)

Due to the hive, I’m becoming more of a fan of bright colored heels! My shoes are a hybrid of the J. Crew & Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby. I got them from DSW online for a steal! Check them out and see if they might have a compromise for your shoe fetish!!

My favorites are the Loubs, but I have the Manolos in silver and they’re my favorite pair of shoes that I own! I got them very gently used for $200 on Ebay, so consignment shops and Ebay are definitely something to look into!

I’m partial to the J.Crew ones - but that might be because those are the shoes I’m wearing for my wedding!!
