About Mrs. Starfish

Right after we got engaged, we started to receive a few beautiful and really thoughtful gifts from some of our closest friends and family. I think engagement gifts aren’t necessary, so we really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the gift givers. I like making thank yous really personal and special, because if someone went out of their way to do something nice for me, I want to give them a personal thank you.

That being said, I think we came up with the most perfect idea for thank yous!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! : wedding thank you Lc040

We used three photos from the day of the proposal. We wanted to give each person a little glimpse into the day. So we had a picture of us taken the day of the proposal as the card, we used the picture of the date of the proposal written in the sand as the stamp, and a picture of my ring as a sticker to seal the envelope.

Close ups of the pictures used:

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! : wedding thank you Engaged010

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! : wedding thank you Engaged011

I’m so happy with how they turned out! They are super easy to make. Go to Zazzle to pick your product, upload a picture and your product is ready to purchase, you can also add other features such as text. You can’t see it, but we had Thank you! written on the card.

Do you like personalizing thank yous too? How have you made your thank yous personal?

That’s a super cute idea for a thank you. I always appreciate them more if they’re personalized and not just generic.

@ miss Jellyfish, I do too. But they are so expensive, so we decided to do them for the engagement thank yous instead. There were only 20 needed, as opposed to about 100 we would need for the invites. Plus I got them durign a big sale!

Aw, these are great! We were bad and didn’t do formal thank-yous for our engagement presents, which I agree are unnecessary and therefore that much more heartwarming to receive. Good for you guys.
