Martha Stewart Weddings

Martha Stewart Weddings : wedding resources Wfall08

The only way I can describe the feeling I get when I receive my Martha Stewart Weddings subscription in the mail every few months is to compare it to Christmas morning as a child. It is pure excitement, anticipation and joy all rolled into one! I always vow to wait to read it while on my morning commute, but as soon as I get the magazine in my hands, I make a cup of tea and head to the couch for pure blissful reading.

I devour it in one sitting, reading every last word, admiring every single picture. Mr. Starfish usually comes home during this sacred event and has learned not to bother trying to hold a decent conversation. Martha wins every time.

My favorite issue so far has been the Fall 2008 edition. To my delight this issue focused on personalizing your wedding. This is one of the most inspiring issues I have seen yet! There are 121 ways to personalize your wedding and make it your own. I especially loved the Moving Images article. It is loaded with fun photo crafts and inspiring ways to use your favorite images.

I love this photo cake! It is so different. My fiance reallllllly wants people on the cake, but I’m not so into the idea. When I saw this, I thought, ‘how perfect!’ We can have people on the cake and not just any people, but us! He wasn’t into it, to my dismay. He wants to be uber-traditional, but I can’t blame him. I fell in love with his traditional values and it is one of the things I love about him. I am traditional as well, but when creativity is involved, I am a little more flexible! So now I will just continue my search for the perfect people cake toppers.

The photo Thank you cards is one of my favorite ideas. We had already had these made up through Zazzle prior to seeing this issue. I am a huge fan of Zazzle! Martha also had stickers made from Moo, which I checked out after the fact!

I love the photo cake idea. However my FI, like yours, is more traditional and would probably not go for it. I’m going to run it by him anyway! Let us know what you find!

I don’t subscribe to any bridal magazines, but I feel similarly about my issues of Bon Appetit!

LOVE Martha Stewart Weddings! I don’t have a subscription but I always buy it and I get way too excited when I am in line at the grocery store and I see a new issue! I’m like you - I always say I’m going to save it, but I end up reading the whole thing as soon as I get it home!

I absolutely love the Martha Stewart website! I visit it often! I have not subscribed to any wedding magazines yet but plan to do so soon because every time I walk by the magazine section in a store I end up stopping and gazing at some! Martha Steward Weddings is definitely tops on my subscribe list!!

Ummm yes. I have been subscribing to MSW since I was a wee seventh grader. True story. And it is still glorious every time it arrives in my mail box!

I subscribe to Brides Magazine. I enjoy reading it with my fiance though. He has really gotten into the wedding planning process. I am afraid he might turn into a Groomzilla. I’ve never read MSW magazine. I was just browsing the website from the link above and I really enjoyed reading this article on trimming down the budget! http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/trim-your-budget

I find Martha a little intimadating and overwhelming for me. I love her ideas, but I’m new to all these projects!! So, I suscribe to Brides magazine. Or is it called Modern Bride? Not sure, but I do look forward to a new issue every month! Thank you for sharing the Thank You card idea!!

Every time I go home to visit my parents, my mom has a huge stack of bridal magazines that she has bought at grocery stores waiting for me. I can never bring myself to pay for them on my own, since I figure all that stuff is online anyway, but man do I love reading the ones she saves for me.

@ giggles thanks for sharing the article, I just started reading through and there are so many great ideas :)

@ littlestbirds, my mom gets them for me too! Before we even got engaged she bought me a couple subscriptions. I’m more of an online person, but I love the magazines too.

I don’t subscribe to any wedding magazines but I make a point to go to Borders every couple of months to make sure I have the most current InStyle Weddings. I love it so!

FI always laughs when he sees my stack of bridal magazines. I’ve always got them open to different ideas. He got me the Southern Weddings magazine for Valentine’s Day this year! :) I get the Martha Stewart and Brides in the mail!

Too funny! YES, I LOVE Martha Stewart weddings. I haven’t read the magazine, but the web site is fabulous! It’s one of the most inspirational wedding web sites out there! The DIY ideas are fabulous and I love the fact that it has so much variety.

i flip through a couple at Barnes & Noble but never felt truly motivated to buy one, so i went thru the whole planning process w/o having purchased a single mag! All hail The Internet!

that was by far one of my favorite editions as well! To be fair I am still buying them and I’ve been married for four months. The hubs thinks I’m nuts, so I have decided I am now collecting ideas for my future children!
