Seriously, Mr. Hot Wings. This is NOT the post for you. Move along little man.

When we left off, I decided I couldn’t cry over a dress. If I couldn’t cry, maybe Mama Hot Wings could. I waited to get back to San Diego to go dress shopping with her. I really wanted to try on the Allure 8586 dress from my House of Brides session, but I couldn’t find it in San Diego. So, I just started from scratch. Since I had such a nice experience at Bridal & Veil the first time, I decided to try it again.

I told my salesperson that Mama Hot Wings likes the traditional, sparkly dresses but that I wanted a dress that had purposeful beading and that would make me look “womanly”. She pulled the Casablanca 1936 and said, “this is going to be the one.”

I walked out, looked at Mama Hot Wings and she started crying! It was the first dress on this particular day. And the search was over. Thank goodness! I was beat.

Dress Specs: Diamond White Fitted A-line or Fit and Flare (although on me, I will need some alterations to get the “fit” around my thighs), beaded netting over silky satin

I always thought I would not cry and Mama Ducky is def not a cryer BUT when we saw THE DRESS on me, after 3 months of fruitless searching, we both shed a tear

I think that’s how you know it’s the dress, if it makes you feel something
