Then I Will Do it Myself Part 3

March 11th, 2010 @ 2:39 pm by Mrs. Lace

Have you been super close to finishing a wedding project and itched to cross that item off your to-do list? That’s me, so I need your help. A while back, I blogged about how I was going to make my own sash here and here. I have been working on it here and there and wanted to give the hive an update and get some feedback.

I quickly fell in love with the black sash (the dress ain’t bad either!).

If any of you have been following me, you know black has been a bit taboo, but I’m moving forward with this because I want it. :)

This is what I’ve come up with so far. I’m not set on it yet although I’d really like to finish it and check it off of my to-do list!

Option A

Option B

I know it’s difficult to tell without seeing my dress, but it’s a strapless number. Just based on the two photos, which sash do you like better? Thank you hive!

Though, it might help to think which way you’ll be facing during the ceremony so your guests can see it when you’re up there…

I love option A, because it’s a little more simple, but I guess it depends on how intricate the design on your dress is. Either way they are both beautiful.

Option A for sure! I think the two small compliment the one big nicely…Option Bee becomes too busy :)

Option A! So pretty. Love the use of different fabric for the multiple flowers.

I love option A…it’s gorgeous! Option B is pretty too, but I agree that it looks a bit busy.

I like A - there’s a symmetry about it that I find appealing.

They both are beautiful. I think it depends on how busy the rest of your dress is. If it’s pretty simple, I say go with B-it looks so lush and full!

I like B better. I love the fullness of the flowers together!

I really like option B! But they are both very pretty and whichever you choose will be amazing.

@Miss Jellyfish: Good call! I didn’t think about that yet. Since I will be standing on the… left?

my vote is for option A being more simple and unencumbered - but you won’t go wrong with either one

I’ll be #8 to attest to option A!

Both very pretty but I love Option A a little more. What if you used the little rose looking one from Option B on Option A instead of the smaller flower?

Good point by Jelly—I have to remember that when I decide on what to put in my hair so the guests can see it during the ceremony. Well I want them to anyway.
