When it came time to organize the “detail” photos from our wedding, I realized that things may be a bit out of order here, so just work with me. Recaps are tough to organize! I shared with you our day-after photos with my talented cousin (and bridesmaid) MB of Design MB Fotografie. She captured some gorgeous shots of my bouquet, so I figured I would continue with some of the ceremony and personal details.
As I mentioned probably a thousand times, I was in love with my bouquet!

Rose of Petals of Vail was able to find enough peonies in February to produce a romantic, elegant bouquet.
One of my favorite details of my bouquet was that it was wrapped in one single piece of fabric. It felt sturdy, and looked gorgeous!
Our colors were ivory, black, gold with deep red accents, so we chose to have red bridesmaids’ bouquets and red bouts for the guys.
The morning of the wedding, Rose called to tell me our plan to incorporate red peonies wasn’t going to work. The flowers had arrived and they were “not red… not even a little red”. So, she added some more roses and it was fine!
It was so cold the morning of the wedding we didn’t even have to chill the flowers. We just put them outside on the patio and my cousin captured this shot of them while I was getting ready.
The guys’ flowers were red, and Champ and the dads wore white to match the moms. We chose a single calla lily for the dads, and a posy bouquet of callas for the moms.

Now, I’ve shared the woes of finding the perfect veil to go with my dress, but I couldn’t have been happier with the decision. My dress was Casablanca 1827 that was custom fit to change the shape from an A-line to a modified mermaid. My seamstress (the infamous) Estee Livioco was amazing and she really listened to how I wanted the dress to fit. She also altered my veil to get rid of the horns!
The lace detailing and a touch of sparkle fit our snowy winter wedding, and I’m so happy I ordered my dress in the champagne color.
One of my last minute decisions was to wear a garter. It’s one of those details that didn’t seem important and even after the wedding I still think it wasn’t that big of a deal, but I loved how pretty it was! I ordered a custom monogram garter from Etsy seller “The Garter Maker” through her shop Monde Design.
She used my first initial, and it was my something blue!
So I know this post was out of order, but I’ll continue with the details of our reception next!
What was or will be your favorite “bridal detail”?
