Thank you Miss P.Chipz for the title inspiration! Shooting our engagement pictures in Newport was a blast! Part of me has worried that we are over-obsessing with Newport when it comes to the wedding (it’s where we met, we got engaged, where our engagement shoot was, and where the wedding and thus all wedding photos will be), so for about a minute I questioned whether we should shoot our engagement pictures there.  Well, actually, Sister Starfish questioned it. I briefly thought maybe we could take them somewhere else, but I couldn’t think of one place I’d rather take them than Newport.

I am so glad we stuck with Newport. It was a fun walk down memory lane. We started at our college campus.

I really wanted to incorporate our “There’s no place like Salve” sign, but I didn’t really know how, so Dave came up with this cool shot!

After a few shots on campus, we headed past Ochre Court’s lawn onto the Cliffwalk. The Cliffwalk is a Newport tourist must-see, which also happens to go along Salve’s campus. Mr. Starfish and I spent many walks on the Cliffwalk, so it was a definite spot for engagement pictures. The views are just unbelievably gorgeous.

If you look closely at the photo below, above the bridge, it says “Love is Life”. This is probably my favorite part on the Cliffwalk. I first noticed the quote on a walk during my freshman year.

Mr. Starfish wanted to get some shots on the beach. Not just any beach, but the beach where he proposed.

We planned our shoot on a Wednesday, so the beach was empty. I felt more comfortable here, since it was more secluded and the beach photos ended up being my favorite group.
