Look what I got in the mail this past weekend!
It’s the super-cute invitation for my upcoming bridal shower! Pretty, isn’t it? This got me super excited for several reasons:
Up until now, my planning has been relatively independent, with occasional input from the Mister. Photography? Check. Dress? Check. Tuxedo selection? Check. Checks? Check. Working through the massive to-do list is relatively straightforward. But the shower, with actual guests attending? Whoa. That’s for real. I know I’ll feel the same when the wedding invitations go out - this is *really happening*.
What made you realize that your upcoming wedding and marriage are “for real”?
Ooo la la. Those are pretty. My wedding’s all in my head right now. The reality of it hasn’t hit me yet. So hopefully some mail like your’s will do the trick.
I’m with @Miss Hot Wings: it doesn’t seem really real yet, for me, either. Maybe a cute shower invite like yours will do the trick!
I was so excited when I got my bridal shower invite in too! they did a great job on the invite!
So pretty! Getting RSVPs made everything seem very real to me in a way that it hadn’t before.

My “this is for real” moment was when I got five rsvp’s back in one day.
I have no idea when where why or how my shower is… its a surprise. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion its next weekend. Shhh. Don’t tell my MOH’s (i have two.)

Yes, all this talk of a shower has made me realized its actually happening - with people other than FI and I! And they’ll be there… for me!? really??

I love the invitation! So cute! My “real” moment was when I decided on my dress. It was my first complete purchase, and probably the most I will ever spend on a single clothing item!

How exciting! I’m still over four months out, it’s been a gradual series of discoveries so far - one was booking the venue, one was buying the dress, one was (oddly) registering for china. Looking forward to the next one, maybe it will be my own shower invitation.
