I first saw this photo in a post from Mrs. Apple Cider about her guestbook/bench:

(Address file from Lovely Designs)
The address file was suggested as a way to organize seating cards by the Brooklyn Bride, but I really loved the idea of using it as a guest book - have people write notes to you and file it under their last name! Perhaps I like being organized a bit too much? The only thing I didn’t like was the price of this super cute set, but I kept it in the back of my mind while sifting through guestbook options and considered making one myself, following this Ruffled tutorial.
Fast forward to three months before the wedding when I realized I didn’t have a guestbook decided on. I was about to settle on the idea of using our engagement photos in a photobook for folks to sign when I saw the perfect giveaway on a blog I follow! Mismikado’s Journey Down the Aisle had a week of amazing giveaways, and one of them was for a Wedding Guest Book Box from Etsy seller Just Wright Boutique. I jumped up and down when I found out I’d won the box, and Just Wright Designs customized our design choice and sent it off to me!

(cute wood box with a tag that has our names and wedding date on the front)
I chose their Modern Floral design because it fits well with the many flowers that will be in and around our wedding (real flowers, paper flowers, escort flowers, flowers on our invites… sheesh!), and a blue color that worked well with the rest of the decorations.

(each decorated card has two letters on it)
The box has 13 dividers with the floral design on it, and a bunch of blank cards that just say “Special Wishes for the Bride and Groom” at the top so guests know to write a note to us!

(One of the blank cards we’ll have out for guests to write something to us)
I’ll admit that I’m a little sad about the basic “Special Wishes… ” note at the top, but when I asked Mr. Guinea Pig what we should choose from the options Just Wright offered, he said, “keep it simple {stupid}!” (Don’t worry, he didn’t actually say ’stupid’, I added it in because I always think that after someone says ’keep it simple’). I wanted to come up with many crazy things to print at the top like, “Draw a photo of yourself”, or “What’s your favorite vegetable, and do you think I could get Mr. GP to eat it?”, or “What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen Miss GP do?” etc.
Since the backsides of these cards are still blank, I’m considering printing a different question on the back of each card! I’m excited that we’ll have our guestbook in a unique form, and I can’t wait to see what people write to us!
What questions would you think would be fun to answer at a wedding? What kind of guestbook are you using? Do you think people will figure out that they’re supposed to file their cards alphabetically?!
