I think my obsession with quotes truly began in college. Instead of putting up away message on AIM that said what I was doing or when I’d be back, I always had some type of quote. The first few semesters they were mostly friendship quotes, but later my obsession turned to love quotes. Today, I have a pretty substantial quote collection.

I want to somehow incorporate quotes into the wedding. I have been going through my list of quotes and searching for new ones. I’m not sure where I will use them yet, but there are plenty of places I can think of, including:

Wedding website
Save the dates
Invitations
Programs
Thank yous
Scrapbook
Flip flop basket
Signage
‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ cards
Vows
Speeches
Guestbook

I love quotes too! Thanks for posting this. We are probably using the ‘when harry met sally’ quote in our programs - but I’m still searching to see what else is out there.

I’m kind of a music quote person myself in general, but our wedding is actually somewhat quoteless! We considered putting a line from our first-dance song (”Real Love” by The Beatles) in our programs, but we opted against it for designy reasons.

My favorite is the 1st one. I love quotes too, but like Miss Taco, I’m mostly into music quotes. As well as Greek Philosophers and movies/TV shows like Superbad or Southpark… lol.

We used this quote in our invitations:
“If I tell you I love you, can I keep you forever”~Casper (as in the friendly ghost!)

I made a photo guestbook and put quotes on the page, too! I love quotes and did the same thing with my away messages. I thought including them in the guestbook was a cute way to get them out there!

I used to do that on AIM too! I love quotes.

We’re doing something similar, except just using the lyrics of our song. It’s our first dance, of course, and I’ve included it on our wedding website and lines on signage. I really want to write a line on the outer envelopes of the invitations too!

A fave of mine is from the movie Tristan + Isolde.

Tristan: “None.”

I just love the movie! And it doesn’t hurt that FI’s name is Tristan ;-).
