Mrs. Pudding, Greater Toronto Area/Vermont Age and Occupation: 26, High School Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Computer Engineer Engagement Date: August 2008 Wedding Date: July 2010 Venue: Catholic Ceremony, Cultural Hall Reception About Me: Quite literally a citizen of the world, I was born in Poland, grew up in Canada, and now live in the beautiful state of Vermont. I love reading historical biographies, multi-tasking, teasing my hair, and, despite my height, wearing high heeled shoes. I am the ultimate klutz with an uncanny ability to put on a graceful front. Mr. Pudding and I have been dating for over six years, and are very excited to finally merge our (very large) families. We are planning a traditional Polish-Catholic wedding that is anything but predictable.
About Mrs. Pudding

On a Roll

March 18th, 2010 @ 4:01 pm by Mrs. Pudding

In the last week or so, I have been a DIY wedding machine! I feel very energized and inspired, and I think that this might have something to do with the beautiful weather. Crafting with the windows open to let the breeze and sunshine in is so much more enjoyable than trying to work in a cold, dark room.

I will be unveiling some of my crafting in the weeks to come, but I wanted to start with a project that I finally managed to complete. That’s right, bees: our table numbers!

I took your advice about having more than one pattern serve as the backing, but I really wanted to keep all of them a uniform yellow. So I used the stripes, a damask design, and two different embossed patterns.

And before you comment on the fact that 29 tables seems like a lot, keep in mind that I am scaling up. We are inviting around 250 guests (expecting around 200), and are having round tables. Ideally, we’d like to seat eight people per table, but are willing to push that number to ten per table. Hopefully, 29 tables is an overestimate!

Has the warm weather reinvigorated and inspired you to move forward with wedding planning?

These turned out great! And, I agree..it’s so much more fun to craft during warm weather with sunshine and open windows!

These came out amazing!!! And that’s smart to over-estimate, I probably will end up having to add another table number or two since I only went up to 24…

I scoured to local Michaels for those frames, with no luck. I’m so jealous of your find! They look great finished.

I don’t think it’s the warm weather that’s inspiring me to get my butt in gear, rather the fact that the wedding’s in twoooo months omg.

I love these. :) I have a few mirrors done like this (the edges), and they are always my favorite. Anything old-school and painted solid over? Way awesome in my book.

I love the embossed argyle… plaid… whatevs… behind the 25.

Oh these look fantastic! I’m starting to think about centerpieces more with the weather changing since they both make me happy :)

just curious, what size are your tables? i have a dilemma with our wedding space — can only fit 24 60″ round tables. we’re planning on having 10 per table which is the max, but i’m just a little worried about it being too tight! that and, we have to organize guests into groups of exact 10 which might be hard.

They look fantastic! I really love them, the yellow pops so much off the white frame.

@silverbuggy: I am 85% sure that mine are 60″ as well. Ten is doable, but it will be tight. I used to work as a waitress for a catering company, and hated serving at a reception that had 10 people at this size of table, because you had to be very strategic about where everything is placed. It is doable though, it just takes planing :)
@MOBof5: I made it! I printed the two designs (I have them, if you want them), and embossed yellow paper with my cuttlebug.
@jordynrose: It’s Centabel Book. I’m pretty sure that I downloaded it for free, but can’t remember where. I’m sure that a google search would solve the mystery :p

Those look fantastic! And definitely better to overprepare. I think the warm weather is making me less motivated to do wedding stuff cause I don’t have to be stuck inside anymore!

Those look awesome! And over estimating is better than underestimating when it comes to wedding stuff!

8 per table seems like a lot! We had 5 foot round tables and the venue recommended 8 per table. I actually tried sitting at a table with 8 chairs around it and it was way too cramped. The chairs had to be touching each other. I didn’t want to my guests to be crammed like sardines and have no leg room, so I didn’t listen to the venue and only put 6 per table, and two tables had as little as 4 guests per table. Are you sure you want to try to fit 10 per table?
I love your embossed backgrounds. Yay for the cuttlebug!

Gorgeous! I wish the DIY didn’t involve a cuttlebug. Did I miss an earlier post on these?

@amariem25: I know these tables quite well, since I have been attending weddings at our rehearsal space since I was a little girl. They will sit 8 very comfortably….perhaps your tables were smaller?

@Arachna: You don’t actually need the cuttlebug for these. I just used it to spruce up the backing.

There isn’t much to the DIY here, but I could put a tutorial together if you wanted me to.
I did do a previous post about them here: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/01/29/the-table-label/

Yikes, now I’m a little nervous haha. Although, we noticed the chiavari chairs at my venue are smaller than normal, which is probably why 10 can fit per table. But I guess it will be very tight. :(
