J.Crew, I am onto you! Oh, am I onto you. OH-ho-ho, am I. onto. you. You and your sneaky ways.
First they introduced the gauziest, loveliest little dress, one that would be perfect for our flower girl. It cost more than I wanted to spend, and I hemmed and I hawwed and finally bit the bullet just as sizes and colors started disappearing from their stock.
I justified the cost because the ring bearers are wearing clothes they already own. I’d apologize to them but I know they don’t care.
No sooner did I order the dress when a new dress popped up on the J.Crew website! Listed under their “wedding” items, this dress looked the same…only paler yellow with a white flowery pattern.
You know what else is different about the dresses? $100! The second dress is a full $100 more. For $100 more I hope the dress comes with an actual flower girl inside.
Luckily, the first one fit our flower girl and she looks adorable.
You listening, J.Crew? Yeah I’ve got your number. You’d have to get up pretttty early in the morning to pull a fast one over ol’ PChipz.
OMG! SO cute! I LOVE Jcrew flower girl dresses. But we’ve got three so we just can’t afford to spend that kind of money and by the time they’re on sale I can’t get them in all the right sizes. *sadface*
You go get em Pchips!! glad you found the cheaper one first! I always manage to find the expensive one and then realise there is a cheaper version, which basically looks identical and then get depressed that someone else has it cheaper and I couldve saved!

Wow, you know I often feel like they just increase the price on everything “wedding” but this just tops the cake! That’s a very expensive flower design.
We spend about 2 (maybe even 3) times as much as we origionally intended on our flower girl dresses. Oops! 
@Kippie: Right?? Sheesh. It’s not like the first one was any bargain. I might be eating beans out a can for a couple weeks.@Gerbera: Ooh yeah, I couldn’t do it for three! I hate that about the sales too. They do have a thing called We Will Find It For You which is where they search all of retail stores for the specific size/color that you request.

I don’t know if you ladies are aware of this, but J Crew offers an education discount to all teachers and students. 15% off full price items, you just need a valid .edu email, from what I have heard. Technically, I’m not a student but I registered my college email address forever so I can always get the discount.
I’ve never actually used it because I never buy full priced items from there, but it’s good to know you never have to pay more than 85% of what it’s listed for.

OMG I LOVE that FG dress. That was my first choice, but ultimately decided we didn’t want to spend $100, much less $200 on a FG dress for one day. But it is so cute!!!
@Gerbera: Haha, sorry! Do what @kwebs said and find a student/teacher to use their discount…although that wouldn’t work on sale items I guess.
That is such an adorable flower girl dress. Why do all things cute have to be so darn expensive?? Then you slap the word wedding on it - astronomical numbers coming your way! Sigh…

Ahh! Your flowergirl is ADORABLE. And that dress is so perfect. I’m kind of obsessed with flower girls, but sadly, the Turtles are not close with any little girls. Maybe you’re willing to loan yours out?
for $100 I’d hope there was a flower girl inside too … lol She looks like a doll- too cute- love the missing teeth- gahhh that age is adorable!
