I am a Sunny So-Cal bred gal who trudged across the country to follow her love of psychology and ended up finding a partner in the process. I am overly passionate about anything I involve myself with. I am an activist, a foodie, a reality TV watching junkie, an over-analyzer, a photography obsesser, and am utterly cheesy to the core. This is a story of what happens when a boy and a girl meet, fall in love over academic dorkiness, and a shared love for life. We (mostly I) are planning our semi-destination wedding in my hometown of San Diego. A Table for Signing On

March 21st, 2010 @ 1:20 pm by Mrs. Hot Wings

That pretty guestbook I made needs a place to sit. So, after Auntie Flowers fashioned me a little vase of daisies and gerberas, I started throwing everything onto my parents’ coffee table. I added a custom wooden name sign I got from Danielson Designs.

I really like how the sign turned out. I had to blur the names, but you get the point. Pretty, right? The saying is one of our faves! “Grow old along with me, the best is yet to come.” It has been one of our mantras during wedding planning. We want the special people who have helped us become the people we are today to be with us as we start make this commitment to one another. And we hope they’ll stay alongside us for the ride.

Then I used some of our engagement pictures that our photog friend Moe gave us for the holidays (super score!). I ;ove them so much. I just want to put them everywhere!

(1) First, I just used a white table cloth.

(2) Here it is with a sage overlay on the white tablecloth

I think we’ll use some rose petals and a larger floral display. Otherwise, what do you think?

Should we (1) Keep it simple with just the white tablecloth? Or (2) use the sage overlay? What else should I add, if anything?

I like the sage overlay. Where all your items are white, it gives a nice pop of colour. Looks great!

i like it with the sage overlay. i would also add a larger floral display, maybe some candles and something to prop up the wooden sign

Put the saga on girl and a bit of more design on the table will just complete it. Best of luck!

I vote for the overlay too. I would also get a little plate stand for your sign to sit in, so it is upright. Looks cute!

The sage overlay gives it the extra oomph. :)

Good job, Moe! I like everything about the framing.

Overlay is cool, just rem to iron out the wrinkles. And perhaps use a bright floral arrangement so the color pops?

Sage Overlay, it adds a little something without being too over the top.

I love the mantra! Are you going to use “The Best is Yet to Come” in your wedding?

It looks really good!

I like the simple look with the green overlay. I wouldn’t get too busy because you want the focus to be the guestbook. I would have the guest book somehow propped open with a sign encouraging guests to sign.
