About Mrs. Hot Wings

Yesterday, Mrs. Emerald and I got to attend the last day of the Chicago Bridal Market with Kate from Project Wedding. What a fun experience.

Along with bridal gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses, the Chicago Bridal Market also had shoe vendors. I wanted to share some awesomeness with the hive.

First, Okab (pronounced oka-bee) caught my eye.

These are rubber slip-on sandals that have inter-changeable ribbon accents. These come with 4 ribbons to match every bride’s needs. Notice the sandal cushions? They have a reflexology massaging foot bed! Perfect for a wedding, right? You can also stick these in your washer! Imagine a beach wedding or beach pictures and rinsing them off right afterwards. Super cute.

Mrs. Emerald found these slate gray beauties that would look pretty awesome with my wedding colors.

Secondly, I saw the beauties that are Hey Lady Shoes! I know everyone told me to hold out for shoes in a brighter blue that I loved. I FOUND THEM! Look at these! Hey Lady Shoes has a new collection of colors. This is coming for their 2011 line, so watch for them. I hope they make their debut in time for my wedding. Let’s all cross our fingers ’kay?

And then I saw these pretty Hey Ladies sitting by the marshmallow peeps. OMG. I MUST HAVE THEM! I will make them work for anything and everything! Aren’t they beautiful? I’ll race you to get them! ;)

Of course, these beauties are sold out right now. Just my luck. If anyone is getting rid of a pair, PM me. ;)

What do you think of these new bridal shoe collections?

Love all the Hey Lady Shoes! Those are fab! But am I the only one who thinks all those sandals are hideous? Probably the most unattractive wedding shoes I have ever seen. Oh well, to each his own! :-)

Oooh, love the Hey Lady’s! Not in the budget, though. I have to admit, this inspired me to buy a pair of Oka B’s for the reception… much cuter than flip flops. I got the ivory Caroline’s with the pink bow - the ones above the zebra ones in the third pic. FYI, if you google for coupon codes, you can save 15%.

@rawrkitty1022: I am totally with you! Those Okab shoes look like shower shoes with bows. I’ve never heard of Hey Lady Shoes, but for the price, would prefer a designer pair!
