Mr. Starfish and I are in love with our venue, The Atlantic Beach Club. Since our engagement, we have gone to visit at least 5 times. Our wedding coordinator probably thinks we’re crazy. I apologize every time I ask for another visit and assure her it is the last time, and she tells me to come as often as I’d like. So I do!
I know it sounds a bit obsessive, but the first time we went was to meet with them and look at the place, the second was to sign the contract and to show my mom, the third was to show my bridesmaids, the fourth was to show my dad, sister and future brother in-law, and the fifth was to show FFIL and FMIL Starfish.
I know certain people show the dress to multiple people prior to the wedding date, but I haven’t heard of many showing their venue off so much. I think it’s interesting to see what other brides’ favorite aspects of their weddings are that they like to show off.
What’s the favorite aspect of your wedding that you like to show off to as many people as possible?
wow, that first picture is amazing!! i’m in love with our wedding venue too, and we’ve listed 5+ times too.. let’s see…1st time was when i fell in love, 2nd time with MOH, 3rd time with parents (it was closed), 4th time with parents and grandparents, 5th time for tasting and first meeting with DOC, 6th time for bridal faire, 7th time for our second meeting with DOC.
so, i totally feel you.

Yay for loving your venuee so much! It will be where the party is and the backdrop to your numerous pix!
We love our VENUE too and the DOC has become our friend.
She is the best in the world and the venue is just amazing.

Your venue is gorgeous! Don’t feel bad about visiting your venue often, let’s just say that I am on a first name basis with our venue coordinator because I have visited so much.
I tell everyone about the photo booth because I want everyone to use it! Several times!
Lucky you! I can’t visit my venue until two months before the wedding when I can’t change the venue. I wish I had the opportunity to see the venue options in person, I guess that happens when you plan a wedding from far away.
I want to go visit my venue again! I need to come up with an excuse
i’ve been to my venue 2x now… i want to go again in the summer too…i’m nuts!

@Miss Starfish: from looking at the website pics, it looks to be an ocean view? nice! gosh my favorite is that there’s a heart shaped lake with a gazebo right in the middle…it’s almost as if guests are floating in the middle of the lake. that and, horse carriage grand entrance. total cinderella style haha. this is our venue: http://grandtradition.com
I stalk my venue all the time, so no worries. It is a state park and my deposit is my free admission ticket. I even plan on going back more frequently during “wedding season” to take a peek at what other brides are doing!
MIL & FIL love the Atlantic Beach Club. They rave about the dinner there. I’ll have to go next time I am in Newport.
I always tell everybody about the house and photobooth.
I was just at my venue for about the 5th time. I love everything about it! Even the drive leading up to it makes me happy
We have taken many trips to our venue! We even had two trips where we brought up both of our families during another wedding so they could see it in action!

I went to a wedding at the ABC several years ago, and it was beautiful!! congratulations
haha i felt bad too, but our venue was a restaurant so i just went for meals! 
We’ve only seen our place twice. . . but we took lots of photos!
