Inspiration 2.0

March 25th, 2010 @ 4:39 pm by Mrs. Veggie

I have a problem. I really like inspiration boards.

That was an understatement.

I love them.

Well, let my addiction and source of hours of procrastination be your eye candy. I unveil Veggie Weddin-spiration Version 2.0.

Inspiration 2.0 : wedding color schemes scranton 11111 11111

Sources: Background Fabric: Amy Butler Park Fountains Yellow; Center: Our Venue; Circumference: Mismatched china, Vintagey Groomsmen, Wildflower Bouquet, Amy Butler Morning Glory, Amy Butler Cilantro, Amy Butler Wallflower, Flowergirl in Chucks, Sweet Tea, Nicole Miller IK0004, Bike for Two, Outdoor Ceremony, Wedding Sign, Tablescape, Cakes, Invites.

Any ideas on where to use the amazing, yet prohibitively expensive fabrics? What do you think of having so many colors? Too much? Most importantly, is there a place in the wedding party for mustaches?

Napkins/Napkin rings? Photobooth backdrop? Wraps/ Clutches for your Bridesmaids?
And yes to the mustaches.
And I <3 Amy Butler.

I want some bundt cake! I love all the colors… they all have the vintage tone so they work perfectly!
You can make runners, centerpiece fabric squares, napkin rings, table numbers, faux-to booth, guest book covering, head table cloth… endless options! Great choice :)

You totally gave away your new venue! :) Awesome choice, looks like so much fun!!! And, your inspiration board rocks. I am a fan of a 5 color wedding, because who really only has 2 or 3 colors anyways?

mcnetn3–I was thinking the same thing! Was this a (not so) subtle hint about the venue?

Your inspiration board is beautiful. Even though you have 5 colors, it’s not overwhelming at all because they go so well with each other.

Love the fabrics, mostly because I’m using very similar ones (hello Amy Butler and Joel Dewberry). I’m using them for table runners, and parts and pieces of those fabrics and others raided from my mom’s fabric collection for bunting and flower garlands.

Oh, also, I have four colors and am using all different shades of them. I think that you can still create a cohesive wedding “feel” without sticking to one or two colors.

Love the board and the colors! I definitely think if you use them properly that there are not too many. And I can totally see the mustaches in a photo(fauxto)booth or just for some fun bridal party pics before or after the ceremony!

@LisaBee- I use a Mac and so I used the Apple+Shift+4 function to take a screen shot. But, if you are on a PC i think you should beable to find pictures of the fabrics doing a Google Image search.

@mcnetn3 and nonimouse12- I didn’t really think anyone would catch that. :)

@JackieO- I do love me some inspiration boards. Send me some details, and who knows what might come of it.

I can not WAIT to see your wedding. I love that it’s rustic, and totally unique! There are soo many places to use fabrics - there are all your table linens, beautiful sashes for the backs of your chairs, you can wrap them from chair to chair at the ceremony to define the aisle, you could pipe and drape areas of your reception… you could make your dress a sash, or even a little bolero - you can make your flower girls dresses, you could make special linens for different tables, you could do sooo many things!

I love your board! The colors go together so well, I don’t think that there are too many at all.
