Advice S’il Vous Plait?

Advice S’il Vous Plait? : wedding decor los angeles Eiffel Tower2 eiffel-tower2

Behold my latest Target purchase! Duh. It’s a three foot tall wire Eiffel Tower. You don’t already have one? It was on drastically reduced clearance (only $11) so I couldn’t resist snapping it up, and now that it’s sitting in my backyard I’m left wondering, What in the hell am I gonna do with a three foot tall Eiffel Tower??

I could cover it with flowers or twinkle lights. I could spray paint it hot pink. I could have people hang wishes on it as is so popular on wedding blogs (minus the tower). I could fly a little welcome flag from its top and put it on a table with our guestbook. I could use it as a very airy card box with a basket in the middle. I could return it to Target.

And yet it seems perfect for our froggy inspired soiree, non? So…

What would you do with a three foot tall Eiffel Tower??

I love the idea of having guests clip notes to it! AND painting it hot pink. How awesome would a hot pink eiffel tower be?!

I think you should paint it hot pink and clip pictures of you and FIANCE Stripes to it, and put your cardbox under it, maybe use a french hat box? so cute!

I love the idea of a Welcome flag on top and then having guests attach well-wishes to it! Tres cute!

I’m more of a minimalist, so I LOVE the idea of putting a little welcome flag at the top and setting it next to the guest book. So cute!

I’m not sure what you could do with it, but for $11, I feel like you had no choice but get it :).

awesome find miss stripes! coincidentally i just spent the past hour embossing eiffel towers for my invitations here:

i think the idea of hanging guests hang wishes on it is cute…if you do decide to spray it, i recommend the krylon brand…i actually bought a mini eiffel tower cake topper and plan to spray paint it silver (krylon’s “original chrome”)

I love the card box idea — people could drop them through the wires, but wouldn’t be able to get to them, and you could put the cutest little basket inside. I love adding the glittering lights too - the real tower glitters for a few minutes each night on the hour. Totally authentic ;)

I can’t quite tell from the picture but could you prop picture frames on the tiers? I definitely like the idea of putting it near the guest book so people will see it. Was there only one at the store? You could put one on either side of the entrance?
Those are all of my ideas :-P I LOVE it by the way! It would be a really neat thing to display in your home to remind you of the big day!

What about twisting a string of white lights around it? That could look really cool. Not very useful, but it’d look gorgeous.

What about putting a bed of moss underneath it (from the craft store). Then placing a bunch of mini cupcakes frosted in pink around it. Then a pink marie antoinette-like sign on the middle tier with “la vie en rose” on it.

I have a (much smaller) hot pink Eiffel Tower that my MOH gave me. I love it in hot pink: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=25361850

I would paint it hot pink and have guests clip well wishes! Love that twist on the wishing tree idea!
