I write and edit things for fun and profit, but I rarely "write" these days without a keyboard and high-speed internets. Favorites include Mr. Taco, my Boston terrier, San Francisco, getting out of town, and the Roaring ’20s. I was kind-of planning a wedding since roughly 2006, when I discovered "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?" on the WE channel. Taco Gone Wild

April 1st, 2010 @ 5:38 pm by Mrs. Taco

Taco, May Bride S, and two of her fellow BMs went to Cabo San Lucas in March for S’s bachelorette trip.

It was a great excursion, full of margaritas, pina coladas, beach time, and numerous assumptions that we wanted a Girls Gone Wild style of party experience. I’m not so into publicly wearing naughty bachelorette goodies and approaching creepy men in bars, so I completely understood S’s desire to just chillax for a few days with the girls.

(Well, here’s me chillaxing on the swim-up bar after it closed. This scene would be so much better with a drink from said bar.)

Our only game was a Newlywed Game thing that’s a mainstay at many bachelorette parties. MOH M sent the groom some questions and S had to guess his answers. It’s simple enough, and the portability was ideal given our destination. Depending on the questions and the answers (and playful accusations that he answered some of them wrong), it’s a surefire giggle fest.

For mine, we’re doing a California wine-tasting weekend in Paso Robles with a smaller group of ladies, and then having a bigger, more informal San Francisco-style cocktail crawl around town a month or so later. And that’s the extent of my knowledge into these events, which is A-OK with me. I never thought I’d be OK with unknown anythings (I’m actually a lot of fun, I swear), but I’m excited to see what the ladies have in store.

As a bride who does nothing except set parameters and tone for the partay, what were/are your hopes for the last bash with the girls?

I was thinking a good clean fun night! Bowling, laser quest or mini golf, some ice cream cones at a great creamery. I’m actually not having a final bash (not that I know of anyhow!). We are just having a low key joint outing together with our whole wedding party.

However, someone on the ‘bee should have a slumber party and break out the sparkly stick on tattoos and Boy Meets World episode where Cory & Topanga get married…just saying….

I only said no strippers or penis shaped anything. Other than that I am game for whatever the girls plan.

I’m not having a bach party (and have never actually been to one myself), but if I were, I’m sure I’d want to have a say in it!

Wine tasting sounds like so much fun!

My bachelorette party was pretty low key, and that’s what I wanted :) Your Paso Robles trip sounds like a dream!

This looks like so much fun! I have ZERO idea what’s in store for me, my bridesmaids are keeping it super secret!

Paso is only a 30 minute drive from where I’m getting married! Your party sounds like it will be a blast! :)

I’m excited for mine but I have absolutely NO IDEA what’s being planned, other than it’s in NYC and one of my bffs from Chicago is flying in…My only other request was NO strippers, haha

I wanted simple and no penile items :) I ended up with a little more wild and crazy, but we had tons of fun and it made for some great photos!

I said I wanted a classy party and won’t wear any penises. And I want to wear a pretty dress. Other than that, I’m open!

6 of us are going to vegas for a long weekend. i just said it better not end up like ‘the hangover’.

and i really really want to see ‘the thunder from down under’, though i may pass on my bachelorette sash to someone else for the show, because i dont really want to get harrassed =p

my friends are all over the country so we all needed to travel anyway–figured vegas was easy for everyone!

I’m torn if I want to do a chillaxed outing or rock out like a rockstar party!
