Mrs. Taco's Picture
Mrs. Taco, San Francisco Age and Occupation: 29, writer/editor Fiance's Age and Occupation: 37, editor Engagement Date: May 13, 2009 Wedding Date: August 2010 Venue: The Green Room at the War Memorial Veterans Building About Me: I like laughing and talking with good friends over good food and good drink, be it wine, cocktail, or brew. I write and edit things for fun and profit, but I rarely "write" these days without a keyboard and high-speed internets. Favorites include Mr. Taco, my Boston terrier, San Francisco, getting out of town, and the Roaring ’20s. I was kind-of planning a wedding since roughly 2006, when I discovered "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?" on the WE channel. I ran and didn't look back with a theme I called "urban vintage," and it culminated in the most magical day a taco could ask for.
About Mrs. Taco

<3

April 3rd, 2010 @ 11:45 am by Mrs. Taco

We’ve always loved these internet hearts:

<3

We watched Teen Girl Squad early in our courtship after a very academic and philosophical discussion on the merits of Homestar Runner. In one episode, one of the gals referred to the text and email luv symbol as “less-than-three,” which still makes me laugh. After we decided along the way to get matching tattoos, we figured this was perfect, especially since a lot of our professional and personal writing and editing these days is in the online world. A lot of our midday emails are peppered with <3, also, and it always makes me happy.

After 15 minutes each being tattooed the hard way (by a pro buddy, but with just a needle and ink) we were less-than-three’d.

Eat your hearts out, Britney and K-Fed; though, divorce and drama notwithstanding, those tattoos were such a bad idea. Is it just me or do they look scribbled on with Sharpies?

Anyone else out there have matching love tats?

These are so cute! We both don’t have any tattoos, and have said that if we were to be tattooed it would be with our kids names (whenever we do have kids), or something to do with our future kids. I always love seeing his and her matching tattoos!

I wanted us to get matching love tats, but he doesn’t want one. :( I call chicken!

Love yours, and love <3.

LOVE IT Taco!!! My fiance and I also share some Homestarrunner love, and might be known to belt out “Trogdor the Burninator” on more than one random occasion. I am sad, because the Brothers Chaps haven’t updated the site now since December. I hope everything is alright on their end!

Cute! Future hubby and I are going to each get half of a red heart outline on the area where our wrist meets our thumb. It will just look like a red swiggle alone but when we hold hands it will form a heart. And eventually we wanted to get wedding bands tattooed on our fingers… something along the lines of a band made out of a saying in a different language so only we know what it means (and those who can read that language).

I love the <3, we do it all the time now on facebook and emails!! :) Your tattoos look great. We’re actually getting our matching tattoos TODAY!!! We’re getting a horseshoe and a feather, the feather will be sitting inside the horseshoe, both symbols represent our last names and just happen to represent symbols of good luck and good fortune! I CANT WAIT!!

Cute! My friend and I used to always call it “less than three” - as in “I less than three you!” :)

My childhood nickname was Little Apple and my fiance’s was Birdy, so he got an outline of an apple for me and I have an outline of a little bird for him. They make me happy every time I see them.

I totally want matching tats, or something related to commemorate the wedding and “us”, but the mister isn’t so keen. He has one tattoo, and I have four… so I guess I’m a bit more biased :)

<3 it!

We do have matching tattoos! The Fi designed an ampersand that has our initals (A and P) in it and it looks like a heart when viewed at a certain angle. I love it!

we’re getting matching ink - sort of. he’s already covered, and i’m well on my way… so the plan is, in one of my next sessions to get whatever-i’m-getting and have it have a missing “blank spot” in the shape of a puzzle piece. he’ll get that missing puzzle piece on him and it will be us “completing” each other. as we like to say we’re each other’s missing piece. =D

love your <3s! we text those back and forth like it’s our job… so i know what you mean!

Taco, I love these! No tats for me, and some fugly tats on him. Apparently the mid to late 90s were bad times to get amateur ink. :)

Now I’m off to work and watch some “Trogdor! Trogdor!” burninate some peasants.
