I had so much fun helping to plan Sister Starfish’s shower. After a lot of planning and DIY projects, the day came together perfectly.

The shower was hosted at the Langham Hotel in Boston. The room was so gorgeous, there wasn’t a need for a lot of decor, but that didn’t stop us from adding a few DIY details.

I think we succeeded in surprising Sister Starfish!

The shower was hosted by the bridal party (as seen below with Sister and BIL Starfish) with some help from Starfish Mom.

In fitting with the Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme, we decided to go with a breakfast menu, which included pastries, strawberries and whipped cream, French toast, bacon and mimosas.

To finish off the meal, of course their was cake! It was not only beautiful, but super delicious. Our baker was Laura Anes of Sweet Results.

And here are a few of my favorite details:

To incorporate the film, all table numbers were photos of Audrey Hepburn from the movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It was subtle, but fun.

The flowers turned out gorgeous. If I weren’t having a semi-destination wedding, I would so have Starfish Mom do the flowers for my wedding! They came out amazing. We were originally going with just roses, but she wanted more fullness and decided at the last minute to get hydrangeas, too.

Audrey, a.k.a. Holly Golightly appeared again on the escort cards.

Favors were little blue boxes from Papyrus filled with M&Ms inspired by Tiffany’s signature little blue box, but with more of a Martha Stewart-esque twist with a more pastel shade.

And my favorite detail of all was the photobooth! Michael Sparks Keegan and Laura were amazing with the photo area. They helped direct people on where to sit and got some really fun photos.

It was such a fun day, and the Bride loved it, which was really the whole point.
