I love reading historical biographies, multi-tasking, teasing my hair, and, despite my height, wearing high heeled shoes. I am the ultimate klutz with an uncanny ability to put on a graceful front. We are planning a traditional Polish-Catholic wedding that is anything but predictable.
About Mrs. Pudding

Almost Famous!

April 5th, 2010 @ 2:41 pm by Mrs. Pudding

Like many brides-to-be, I have a Martha Stewart Weddings subscription. I was lucky enough to be gifted this must-have magazine from my FMIL when Mr. P and I got engaged. The subscription was placed under Mama Pudding’s Canadian address, since I was living with her at the time. Despite my migration south, the magazines still come to Mama P’s house, and I think of them as fun little surprises waiting for me when I come home.

I am visiting Mama Pudding this week, and using the time to catch up with Martha. As I was flipping through an old issue of the magazine, I spotted her! My wedding gown, in Martha Stewart! I couldn’t believe it! Sure, it was an ad for the designer, but still!

You see, the gown is made by a slightly lesser known label (San Patrick), and I have never before come across it anywhere in print or online. I haven’t even encountered another bride on the ’Bee that bought the same dress. Even after doing a Google image search, I was not able to find a single “real” bride in my dress. So seeing it now, in this most important of wedding magazines, got me really excited!

For those of you hardcore enough to want to do some sleuthing (and I know you’re out there), my dress is “featured” in an ad in this magazine:

Almost Famous! : wedding vermont wedding dress Grmart grMart

Did you encounter your dress in a magazine or on one of the major wedding websites? Did you get excited about it like I did?

I have not seen my dress in print, but I have seen it on 3 brides online. There is also another board bee who is wearing it. :)

Mine showed up in the Wedding Planner & Guide book that I got at a recent wedding show. I had to flip the page quickly before FI could see it (I was ogling the other girl and secretly thinking that I look better in it than she did).

I haven’t seen my dress “advertised” yet, but then again, it could very well have been as I don’t delve into too many wedding magazines. If I did see it though, I think I would have a HUGE smile on my face! :-)

My #2 dress was a San Patrick dress. It was GORG! Unfortunately it was my #2 because they couldn’t guarantee it would arrive in time for my wedding.

My #1 dress is an Essence of Australia and I can only find one poorly styled version of it online and no real brides. :(

My dress is a San Patrick too :) The only picture of a real bride in my dress that I’ve ever found is me!

Isn’t it great…you don’t know how many times I have almost slipped and had the fiance overhear me brag to someone that my dress is the COVER of Bridal Guide for the month of my wedding no less…It’s the May/June issue out now!

It was nice to see it because they styled the bride waaaaay less avant garde than in the David’s Bridal add for the dress.

Congrats to bride’s with famous dresses :)

Ooh, now I’ll have to check through my Martha issues to see if I can find your dress! That’s pretty awesome it made the fashion issue of Martha (even as an ad)! You must have good taste, Pudding :)
