Mrs. Dolphin, Gainesville, FL Age and Occupation: 24, Graduate Architecture Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Interactive Interface Developer Engagement Date: February 14, 2008 Wedding Date: May 2010 Venue: Plantation Bay Country Club About Me: I’m currently a Graduate Student at the University of Florida studying Architecture. I enjoy playing Scrabble with my Fiance, rooting for the Florida Gators, making any drink that involves a blender, cleaning (yes... I’m crazy), design... GOOD design that is, the new Pepsi with natural sugar, taking pictures, discovering new places in the U.S., and obsessing over doing (and designing) everything myself for our upcoming wedding!
About Mrs. Dolphin

I very much believe that, when you can, you should buy handmade. Not only are you getting an item which is (at times) completely custom but, you are also supporting an artist (and their art) and usually getting a better deal over factory-made items (which is always a plus!).

There are so many talented artists and designers over on Etsy. When looking through the wedding category, I am stunned by the amount of talent and beautiful items that are being sold. Any idea you have ever had for your wedding, chances are there is someone who can make it for you on Etsy. Just about anything in a seller’s shop can be altered to fit your wedding. Mr. Dolphin and I had some pretty awesome custom Gator cake toppers made through Etsy. My bridal consultant Kari had her Groom’s cake toppers custom made through Etsy, too. So, without further ado, here is a small taste of items available on Etsy to outfit your Groom on your wedding day:

Sometimes we are so concerned with what we (as brides) are wearing that we forget how important the groom’s attire is in relation to the bride. It is important to remember that the groom’s attire is JUST as important as the bride’s. It is important the groom and bride complement each other. You can really make a bold statement with the groom’s attire, which often makes for some pretty SWEET pictures. Check these pics out below:

My little heart skips a beat every time I see this beautiful wedding. I just love the look!

@Mrs. Sprinkle: I think Mr Frenchie needs that too ;-)
I heart Etsy!
Went spent almost an equal amount of time figuring out Mr Frenchie’s outfit as we did mine. Since we decided to purchase his suit we wanted to make sure it fit really well and was something he would definitely wear again. He also wore a tie clip, a tie square and a vintage tie that was his fathers :)

I’m really excited about what we’ve picked out for my fiance! He’ll be wearing a tux but with an awesome fractal-snowflake tie we found on Etsy (coordinating ones will be purchased for the groomsmen) and blue cuff-links that I hope to make using Miss Sewing’s tutorial. His bout will feature a pinecone for our winter wedding.

I bought my (now) husband, off of Etsy, the “In case you get cold feet socks” and custom cuff-links made of computer keys. Hands-down, they were his two favorite gifts. And he got SO many compliments on them! Perfect gifts- and affordable too! :)

Etsy is amazzing!! My mom and FIL sells lots of their crafts on there!! I have gotten a few gifts off there, but mostly get ideas and then make them myself, or have someone make them! I LOVE the cold feet socks…. I’m totally going to have to do that! My FI and groomsmen are all wearing brown tuxes… and the rentals come with black socks… ugh! So… brown “cold feet” socks it is! Thanks for the great idea!!!

My photographer’s wedding! :) I <3 it too! :)

I also <3 Etsy! I have had so many little projects happen on there: a custom stamp so I won’t have to write our return address 125 times, a pretty leather book to put our ceremony and readings in, jewelry rolls for my bridesmaids. It’s nice to have something unique and support someone who runs their own business! :)

My fiance (who doesn’t wear ties to the office) is really psyched about his super formal tux with coattails (!!) for the wedding!

I love the “I heart my wife” tee!

I totally love Leathermadenice’s products on Etsy! I bought my boyfriend a bracelet for our anniversairy and he never takes it off! He loves it because it has that “bohemian preppy” look- aka american eagle. Plus you can write messages on the inside and outside! Great fast communication, speedy delivery, and the perfect size :) We both love it

cufflinks

These are well thought groom’s gift ideas. I agree that silver cufflinks are classic and will always be fashionable. Personalized gifts will always be valued
