… we got married!!

I have to say that the last 3 days I felt higher levels of stress than I’ve ever experienced in my life, and I don’t think we could have done it without all of the help from our family and friends. They didn’t just help us build our own chapel, they went above and beyond that.

I had help setting tables, baking my sweets buffet, ironing tablecloths, painting clothespins, making tissue paper flowers, and my mom sewed for 2 days straight to help me finish 4 vests and tons of pillow covers. It was a truly labor of love… and when we had everything set up outside and the weather changed, everyone ran and moved everything inside the metal barn, I don’t think I have words to explain how thankful we are to be surrounded by all of this love.

And even though the reception was not what I had planned in my mind, it was SO AWESOME! We enjoyed every single second, we danced until we had no more energy (past midnight) and we got to share everything with my family in Chile thanks to our dear friends Carl and Jimmy that did an awesome job Ustreaming the whole ceremony and most of the reception.

I felt very bad in the last weeks because I was so busy that I had no time to blog or share projects with all of you, but I’m going to make it up now that calm has come again the Poodle house! Momma Poodle is staying with us for 2 more weeks, so we moved our honeymoon date so we could enjoy her company. After she leaves we will go enjoy our Tahoe honeymoon, so in the meantime I will update you with all of the projects we did in the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding! After that, I’ll just be waiting for the pro pics to come in so we can get started with our “Handmade Amor” recaps! smile07

Thank you to all of you for keeping track of this journey and extreme DIY wedding adventure. Thank you for all the help, wishes, and support. Weddingbee definitely touched my heart and I know our wedding would have not being the same without it. This is such an amazing community! smile07

Congrats, congrats, congrats! So happy for you, and you both look incredible in that photo. I was thinking about you this past weekend, knowing that it was your wedding day, and hoping that you would be feeling happiness and love from all around, and all across the world.
I hear you on the stress factor though - it’s hard to separate the joy and the stress at such a monumental event.
Congrats again, and thanks so much for sharing.
Can’t wait for all your recaps, whenever you’re ready. Enjoy every minute with Mama Poodle as well - we were all heartbroken when it looked like she wouldn’t be able to come, so am so thankful it all worked out.
