About Mrs. French Fries

Greater Than.

April 16th, 2010 @ 2:04 pm by Mrs. French Fries

Watching reality TV with your FI, eating ice cream sundaes > Working out, multi-tasking, and crossing things off your “to do” list

Caring about wedding details that some might consider “ridiculous” > Apathy

Hiring someone to finish a project for you > Feeling overwhelmed at taking too many DIY projects on

Starting dance lessons with your FI (stepped on toes and all!) > Doing the awkward middle-school-sway

Wearing a pair of super comfortable shoes that are cute > Wearing ridiculously fabulous shoes that kill your feet and crush your soul

Doing something you’ve seen 1,000 times on wedding blogs because it fits your personality > Doing something “different” that doesn’t fit your personality whatsoever

Seeing your wedding dress taken in with actual pins by a seamstress > Seeing your wedding dress held up with those industrial size clamps in the back

Getting RSVP cards back in the mail > Christmas

Finally saying “I do” to the man I love > Pretty much anything

love this post!

relaxing and enjoying the process and the day > making sure every little detail is perfect

and

getting a dress you love > getting a dress your mother and friends love

getting a dress you love > getting a dress that is so-so and will work “alright”

reselling your first dress > paying for two dresses and feeling excessive

hiring an awesome wedding planner > stressing out and dealing with a million details and +/- 20 vendors

(I could go on and on. Great post, FF!)

Having a wedding within your budget > Caring about the complainers who are put out by the fact that it’s a Friday night

Paying in cash > Going in debt for one day of the rest of your lives

doing things the “unconventional” way to make sure you include the people you love > excluding those who are important to you for the sake of tradition

I love “Doing something you’ve seen 1,000 times on wedding blogs because it fits your personality > Doing something “different” that doesn’t fit your personality whatsoever”

I always feel pressured to be different with my ideas, this reminds me that if it fits me and my sweeties personalities and vision for you day, who cares if we are copy cats?!

love it! you’ve got some really great ones in there.

having your loving pups as part of the wedding > leaving them out because you’re worried people will think you’re overboard

Having (hopefully) everything go the way I anticipate (almost) > cost/headache of having a wedding… we’ll see.

coming home and seeing your amazing fiance setting up a craft table for you and all of your DIY projects > sitting on the floor with paper, glue, hole punches, pictures, pearls, etc. everywhere. =)

Remembering how much you love your fiance > planning/stressing over any wedding detail

I’m a sap. :)

I might have to disagree with you on the shoes. Though…
Pricey but fabulous and comfortable shoes > fabulous but foot-bindingly painful shoes > shoes that make me short :)
Only for the wedding though - I love flats everyday.

((Hugs)) Miss FF! Your post rocks socks fo sho fo sho!

This was exactly what I needed to today to regain my perspective and to remember *the good stuff* . . . especially before I leave the office for the day and home to FI. :)
