Accessorizing the Bride

April 18th, 2010 @ 4:50 pm by Mrs. Dolphin

These hair flowers would look absolutely beautiful with my dress (and Mr. Dolphin has said they are ’pretty’). Mr. Dolphin approves and they are within budget… score!

Accessorizing the Bride : wedding accessories gainesville Screen 038 Handle and Spout Mixed Pastel Flowers

Handle & Spout Mixed Pastel, $35.

Here is what they look like with a bunch of the flowers (imagine it half as full as pictured, that is what I’m looking for). She is wearing 5 of these gorgeous flowers (I’m going for 4):

A pair of cheap heels dressed up with these adorable shoe clips? There might be too much going on to go with my dress, but it’s still worth mentioning. :)

B. Poetic Shoe Clips, $26.

This beautiful hair flower was made by the same seller that made my bridesmaids their beautiful hair flowers.

I’m still going back and forth on whether I need a clutch for the day of or not. Where will I put my iPhone? My makeup? Deodorant? Perfume? Mints? I want to go for something simple, budget friendly, and reusable. This clutch is certainly busting the budget:

, $68.

I think I’m definitely feelin’ this clutch more (and you can get the inside lined in blue!):

I love the Nina Electras but the stock heel height is 4″—way to high for this tall bride. So in order to get the 3″ heel height, I have to order them custom {bummer}.

Accessorizing the Bride : wedding accessories gainesville Wedding038 Nina Custom Height Electra Shoes

www.NinaShoes.com, Custom heel height Electra, $199

I found these on a shopping trip with one of my lovely bridesmaids. Yes… I have tried them on and they are gorgeous! What is so great about them? They are absolutely beautiful and can be worn for years/decades after our wedding day (but will be worn for the first time on our wedding day… of course). Mr. Dolphin liked them but agreed with me that they are out of our wedding budget. {sigh}

Helzberg Diamond Earrings, $599.

Something beautiful to catch the light?

Accessorizing the Bride : wedding accessories gainesville Screen 045 Crystal Earrings

CindyVdesigns, $22

Accessorizing the Bride : wedding accessories gainesville Screen 046 Mindy’s I DO Shoe Bling

Mindy Weiss “I DO” Shoe Bling, $3.75

And we can’t forget a little orange and blue…

Accessorizing the Bride : wedding accessories gainesville Screen 047 Gator Garter

avysum Gator Garter, $24.99 for set of 2

Do you have a clear idea for all of your wedding day accessories yet? Married gals: how long did it take you to gather all of your accessories?

I usually buy myself one “big” piece of jewelry a year, and lucky for me the FI proposed in January of last year, so…before I even had the dress, I picked out a pair of Anthony Nak earrings to wear!! Definitely my splurge - cost more than the dress >_<

It definitely makes it easier to spread the cost out…I could never justify that purchase now with all the other wedding spending.

I have my shoes, necklace, and garter done. I still need to find the perfect hair comb and earrings to wear.

Love the hair flowers. No you don’t need a clutch (I put stuff in mine, but didn’t use it), but go ahead and treat yourself! That 1st one is great! I used the J. Crew Gala clutch and that thing was like $88. Those diamond earrings are beautiful!! I did something similar-I bought the matching necklace and earrings from Tiffany that went with my e-ring-I can now wear them on special occasions. I consider them an investment.

With the Nina’s… what size are you? There’s a size 10 for sale in the classified section: http://classifieds.weddingbee.com/topic/brand-new-never-worn-in-box-nina-electric-3-14-custom-heel-white-size-10

I love these accessories! Especially the hair flowers and the bow purse. Super stylin’. I haven’t figured out all (any?) accessories yet but I have an idea it’s going to be tough!

I love the earrings…

Not knowing your budget for earrings, and, if you have already purchased the second pair (which are beautiful), I wanted to pass on this link:

http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/14k-Gold-1-5ct-Diamond-Deco-Style-Teardrop-Earrings/1415105/product.html

I have extremely sensitive ears so the earrings for the big day had to be gold, yet within our budget. I stumbled across these and my partner purchased them for me last fall. I love them.
