Mel insisted that Mr. Nachos and I use the real wine glasses which I told her probably wasn’t a good idea, but she insisted…

We all went out on the deck and did a fun little toast…

And I tried to slick down Mr. Nachos’ hair for the camera – I purposely haven’t cut it for almost 2 months in anticipation of shearing the sheep (as I like to call it) for the wedding trip…

… which obviously didn’t work.

And somehow Mr. Nachos’ wine glass ended up falling off the deck and landing 2 stories below, plummeting to its death. Ah well, I warned them.

We talked about going out for dinner, but a few members of our clan were in no shape to be seen in public just yet, so Mel came up with another plan. She asked me what the one thing is that I love to eat but don’t get to have very often. My answer? Sushi!

Holy crap, I had never seen so much sushi in my life! After we feasted, I put on some tunes and some impromptu karaoke into my TV remote began…

After about 3 songs, we decided to do it right and hit the karaoke bar for a few hours. I had a great time out celebrating with good friends at our impromptu send-off party. Thanks guys!

So friends, this is me signing off for now. I’ll be back in 2 weeks with a shiny new husband and a nice tan, and I’ll try to check in at some point while we’re out there, ’cause you know I just can’t stay away! Keep your fingers crossed for me that there’s no rain on Thursday. Grrr…
