Mrs. Ribbons, Washington D.C./Bloomington, IN Age and Occupation: 23, Research Associate for an international development firm Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Proposal Coordinator for contractor Engagement Date: May 2, 2008 Wedding Date: June 2010 Venue: Indiana Memorial Union About Me: I'm an Indiana transplant living in DC with my fiance and our pretty kitty. I enjoy the color pink, I'm obsessed with the Dior New Look and tulle, and I heart my level 80 paladin. I'm a sucker for bad TV, literary theory, and cakes of all persuasion. I also happen to be marrying the cutest closet nerd around! It's all about Bloomington for us because it's where we met -- on the college paper. If there's a theme for our small summertime wedding, it's Dior meets Dorothy Draper on a lark in Bloomington; think poofy, plus graphic prints, bold colors, and a whole lot of prettiness.

A Shower Hack

April 19th, 2010 @ 6:15 pm by Mrs. Ribbons

I just got back from my trip home for my bridal shower and while I don’t have pictures yet, I do want to share one really clever thing!

A Shower Hack : wedding bloomington bridal shower Address address

Bridesmaid M printed out labels for every woman that indicated yes on the RSVP. So as I opened gifts, she merely had to slap the respective label next to the gift items! I thought it was brilliant. It’s going to make writing thank you notes so simple!

Do you have any tips that make the little wedding-related tasks easier?

What a good idea! My shower was this past weekend, but I’ll have to keep that in mind if I throw one!

That is a good idea. We always just write what the gift is directly in the card, makes life a while lot easier, especially for the person writing who may or may not know all of the guests.

That is such a great idea! I’m for sure going to remember that for when I throw a shower, (and probably tell my MOH to do it for mine! ;) )

Very cute and practical idea! Must remember! Hey, is there a save button on these posts? There should be! Or a “favorite”?
