About Mrs. Hamster

I’m Scared.

April 21st, 2010 @ 10:51 am by Mrs. Hamster

Soooo I got this in the mail today…

I'm Scared. : wedding bachelorette party nyc Blettei1 blettei

and I’m scared.

Warning: Some of these images may not be appropriate for work. Well, it depends on where you work, I guess.

As Sis Hamster mentioned, I’m a demure Hamster—a blushing bride, if you will. Or to put it more bluntly, a prude. I was so relieved that I didn’t receive any lingerie or other unmentionables at my shower. However, I’ve been told that all bets are off for the bachelorette party!

My bridesmaids have been *awesome* about keeping the bachelorette party details a surprise. Darnit! All my persistent (alright, annoying) pestering has gotten me nowhere. I’ve been told to just wait and see. So what am I doing? Imagining all the horrors (or delights, if you prefer) that await me. Will these things be making an appearance at the Hamster bachelorette?

Oh my.

That’s right, I couldn’t even bring myself to post a picture of a real dildo, which is only a fake… well, you know.

I’m blushing. I’m blushing.

Okay I’m going to have to cut this post short. I’m sitting at home by myself with Say Yes to the Dress on DVR, and my face is still red as a tomato. My friends are going to get a kick out of me, I’m sure! Stay tuned…

Was your bachelorette party a surprise for you?

That IS hilarious! Though your scared, I must say you have the best, planningest bunch of girls behind you! If the bachelorette party is anything like your shower, it will be tasteful and amazing.

No. My MOH (who is my younger niece and only bridal attendant) doesn’t really know my tastest that much. And with the economy and like you, I’m not into the half-naked girrating guys (I don’t find that fun), I gave her some options. Because she needed some ideas of how to do things, I know what we are doing. Basically dinner (a place I had to pick to conform with my dietary needs and that of a few potential guests) and then belting out some karaoke tunes. Nothing crazy, a night out that I’d do any time but the “theme or reason” for the evening is different. Works for me.

HAHAHAHA. I feel the same way about my bachlorette! I have told my maids a number of times - please no lists taped on my back where i have to do embarrassing things, no strippers, no cross dressers, no throwing up. But I am scared.

Haha, I’m exactly the same way, Miss Lace. My bachelorette party is a “surprise” too, and as much as I love my friends, I’m soooo scared!!

Hahaha You know that the picture that you have of a town called Dildo is actually real right? Its in Newfoundland, Canada. I can verify this as I am a Newfoundlander. Its an old town, named long ago when that word did not mean what it means today. Most tourist find it quite amusing and us Newfie’s love to talk about it to see what kind of reaction we get. All in good fun of course!

I just saw the vague itinerary for my Vegas party coming up in a couple of weeks and boy am I nervous…I am also a bit modest and blush at nudity in movies (especially around other people) I am hoping nothing to crazy will happen, but I am pretty darn excited!

Miss Hamster, I am just like you. Conservative, a prude, whatever you want to call it! I am a bit scared for my bachelorette party, too!

I’m the same way Miss Hamster! And my sister knows that which means she will probably plan a wild and crazy one just because of that. She mentioned Vegas… which gets me a bit worried as to how big and crazy she’s going with this.

Love the invite. It looks like you are going to have a great time!! My bachelorette was a surprise too! My bridesmaid did the planning and asked me ahead a time what I was comfortable with, which was no penis crowns, straws etc. or male strippers. Yuck!

My party was sooo fun and unbelievably me. She planned it perfectly. There were some fun games and mai tai drinks in the comfort of my own house, an amazing dinner in a private room at an even more amazing restraunt and finally dancing until the clubs kicked us out. Yes I did wear a light up tiara, a blinking ring, a lei and a button that said sexy but that was it for embarrassing stuff.

Your friends know you and they will push your limits a bit but its mainly so you have an unforgettable time and not simply to make you uncomfortable. That would be no fun for anyone. Don’t be scared be excited!!

@Newfie: Yes, I learned this when I found this picture! So much I’m learning about your province, haha :)

I know my bmaids are excellent planners, so whatever they have in store (whether it’s embarrassing me or not) will be executed to a T!

haha, my MOH keeps hinting at a stripper, and then I promptly begin to blush . . . I think I would faint from awkwardness.
