I enjoy playing Scrabble with my Fiance, rooting for the Florida Gators, making any drink that involves a blender, cleaning (yes... I’m crazy), design... GOOD design that is, the new Pepsi with natural sugar, taking pictures, discovering new places in the U.S., and obsessing over doing (and designing) everything myself for our upcoming wedding!
About Mrs. Dolphin

I have to say that I daydream about Mr. Dolphin’s and my wedding every day. I think about every detail and go over and over in my head how the day could go. I dream about the photographers capturing me and my bridesmaids getting ready, putting on the dress, slipping into my heels. I dream about every picture and moment that could be captured. I dream about doing a ’first look’ with Mr. Dolphin. What will his face look like when he sees me? How will I feel?

My mind then begins to worry about the little details. How to get from point A to point B without all of our wedding guests seeing me. What if my hair gets caught on something; what if my dress doesn’t fit just right; what if it rains? As I lay in bed at night all these thoughts keep me awake. I can’t help myself. My mind just goes over and over and over them.

Not Your Typical Wedding Nightmare : wedding emotional gainesville Crying Upset Bride

source

Just this past week I dreamed that our wedding was over and it happened way too fast and that I couldn’t remember it happening. In my dream my bridesmaids never showed up, and Mr. Dolphin was standing on the wrong side of the altar. Later in my dream, Mr. Dolphin got into a fight with someone in a pickup truck and he pulled the person out of their car window (yes I really did dream this… I have no idea why because Mr. Dolphin is not the fightin’ type; maybe we watched too much Police Women of Broward County that night). All I can think is that my wedding nightmare has become a Redneck wedding nightmare. It is really quite funny looking back at it My dream ended with me crying in a restroom stall wondering what happened to our wedding. I remember waking up and thinking, ‘wow, did that really just happen?’ I then looked over and saw Mr. Dolphin fast asleep and I was instantly set at ease, for alas… it was just a dream.

What was your worst wedding nightmare? If you haven’t had one yet… just wait until you’re 1 month out. They will come… oh, they will come.

I love this post! I am just about 2 weeks away and the dreams are crazy.

I wanted to say that one of my worst ones (meaning I felt so sad when I woke up) was the one I had in which I was present for teh start of the wedding and then the next thing I knew, I was talking to my fiancee and deeply upset because I couldn’t remember my wedding. I had glimpses of moments but kept telling him I guess I would have to see the pictures to remember it and was so sad that I had no memory of it.

I guess that’s a message to just relax and be as present and “in the moment” as we can that day because it will go by in a flash!

I definitely had a weird wedding nightmare the other night. My fiance is pretty thin and in good shape (much better shape than me). I dreamed that I started walking toward the alter and there was a man who was 800 lbs waiting for me. I didn’t recognize him at all, but everyone seemed to know him and know that I had been dating him for a while. It was like the whole last year had been erased and somehow I ended up with the wrong person. I saw my real life fiance at the wedding and asked him how this happened… and weren’t we supposed to be together? It was sooooo bizarre! And, I was also so glad when I woke up and he was right there!

I have nightmares about showing up to the church in my jeans and we haven’t even shopped for bridesmaids dresses yet, so they are all in random clothes. I hate those dreams!

This is so funny, because I had a dream VERY similar to yours the other night.

My mother kept telling me what a beautiful wedding it was, and I was thinking, “I don’t remember any of it!”

In my dream, only one of my bridesmaids showed up, but she showed up on a BIKE. She was really sweaty and she wasn’t wearing the right dress.

But, girl, I totally sympathize with you. The little details seem to freak me out more than the bigger ones. I’m constantly joking that I can’t commit to anything but the man!

I’m 2 weeks away from my wedding and so far have only had 1 wedding related nightmare. I dreamt that I forgot to pack our wedding rings. Since we are having a DW that dream as me slightly freaked out. Not like we could just hop back on a plane and go get them. In the dream I was totally freaking out and at that point woke up. You better believe I’ll be triple checking to make sure they are in my possession before leaving for the airport!

I had read about people having nightmares about the wedding and I thought they were nuts…until I had my own. About two weeks ago I had a dream that my fiance thought he and his buddies should go golfing the day of the wedding since they didn’t have to be at the church until 2:30 and there is a golf course about 5 minutes from our house. In the dream, my fiance shows up as red as a lobster and drunk, saying that he only had two drinks. I was so embarrased in the dream that his red face was going to ruin all of our pictures haha.

Ok want to know what the sad thing is? I have 11 months until our wedding and I have already had I think 4/5 wedding nightmares!! The other night a wedding nightmare merged with my normal tornadoe nightmares - this of course made my mom laugh and tell me at least my dreams were being efficient by combining them uggh!!

the pulling the guy out of the window is pretty hilarious. the general feel i had of any wedding anxiety dreams was just that i kinda missed things, and didn’t get to savor the day with my family and friends. it was a real disappointment. luckily that dream didn’t come true, as yours won’t either!

My wedding is 5 months out and I already have periodic wedding nightmares! The worst is when the photog didn’t show and everything was just a mess!

Haha I hardly ever dream so I never thought it would happen to me either…then it did! SO weird I dreamed our photographers never showed up and for some reason I didn’t notice until the very end of the wedding (ps they are awesome, and reliable so this is totally unsubstantiated). Then I also dreamed there was some type of green goo in my veil….wtf? So weird!

I know exactly how you feel. I was having the weirdest dreams for about a month before the wedding and I still have some crazy ones about my wedding bands. Just take a deep breath cause those dreams are just nerves. Your wedding day will be wonderful!

My wedding isn’t for 19 months and I am already having anxiety/nightmares over all of the things I have to do, all of the things I want to do (and probably can’t afford!) and all of those little things that could possibly go wrong. I swear it’s because I am reading too many wedding magazines and blogs :) But am I going to stop? No way!! Haha. My last nightmare involved opening up my garment bag to reveal that my dress was hideous and black, instead of the beautiful, fluffy skirted ivory one I have already purchased.

Oh wow! That one is pretty bad. I had a dream that the wedding was not set up and I was not dressed when it was time to start the ceremony. My photographer had showed up and would not wait to take pictures since we paid for a particular hour limit, so she just started snapping pictures of the chaos.

I started having my first wedding nightmares a few weeks after we got engaged. Once I started getting a handle on the tasks, I felt better but I’m bracing myself for the next round as the wedding gets closer.
