About Mrs. Dachshund

Something Blue

April 22nd, 2010 @ 11:51 am by Mrs. Dachshund

I am seriously crushing on this necklace:

Something Blue : wedding fresno jewelry Somethi somethi

From Etsy seller favorJewelry

Isn’t it beautiful? I’m torn between wearing my grandmother’s pearls, wearing red in my necklace, and wearing this. It’s so pretty and delicate. *Sigh.*

Do you think it would be too much to layer this with pearls? I’m thinking it probably would. Hrm.

What do you think would go best with my dress? This necklace alone, something with red stones/beads, grandma’s pearls, or something else entirely?

I think pearls would look best with your dress, but why not buy the necklace for your rehearsal dinner? It’s lovely!

I LOVE pearls, so I’m a little biased..but this necklace is so pretty. I agree with kirabee…could you wear this necklace to the rehearsal (or even the pearls for the ceremony and this for the reception?

By the way…I love the red shoes you’re wearing with the dress. They are perfect!

Does this etsy seller do custom orders? I wonder if she could make something similar for you, but with red beads instead of/in addition to the blue.

I think just pearls would look best with your dress.

@farmersdaughter: I was considering that, but I don’t want to message him until I decide that it’s the necklace I want. I always feel bad asking sellers if they can do something custom and then not ordering : \

That’s a gorgeous necklace. But I also lovely classic pearls, so I’m conflicted like you! Maybe this calls for posting your whole necklace collection :)

@Miss Ribbons: I think it does call for that : ) I went to pick up my grandma’s pearls yesterday and was a little disappointed. Not exactly what I had in mind.

Maybe you could have the necklace above done with pearls instead! Does the seller do custom orders? Wrap grandma’s set around your bouquet.

I like the blue necklace with your red shoes, i think it would look awesome! Pearls are a pretty choice too tho, so I can see where you’re having trouble deciding :)

i think pearls or necklace with red stones/beads would look wonderful with your dress, but perhaps you could buy this beauty for other wedding-related events, or just as a much-deserved treat?

Tough one. Hmm…can you maybe switch up the accessories like some girls do with their veils? Maybe wear the pearls for the ceremony and the other necklace for the reception? Or visa versa?

I think pearls for the wedding dress - at least for the ceremony?

That’s gorgeous! Maybe wrap the pearls around your wrist as a bracelet?

Pearls, Pearls, PEARLS!! You will never have regrets looking back on your wedding photos with pearls as a necklace… whereas some of the other options you might eventually wish you had picked something else.

The necklace is beautiful. I’m having the same debate, grandmother’s pearls or a necklace I bought. Maybe one for the ceremony and one for the reception?

The gold necklace is pretty, but I wore something VERY similar as a bridesmaid and it didn’t show up very well in pictures. The beauty in this type of necklace is its dainty-ness, but would you want something that is more noticeable in photographs?

I have to say, I think a necklace with red in it would look best with the shoes. Imagining the necklace with your dress and the red shoes, it doesn’t seem very cohesive. I agree with farmersdaughter!
