Mrs. Sprinkle's Picture
Mrs. Sprinkle, Los Angeles Age and Occupation: 26, Preschool Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 30, Television Production/Writer Engagement Date: December 24, 2008 Wedding Date: September 2009 Venue: The Marvimon House About Me: I'm a Bay Area native trying to create a life for myself (and my fiance, and our three cats!) in the vast city of Los Angeles. I love vegan red velvet cupcakes, pilates ,and mid-century furniture. Mr. Sprinkle and I met when my band toured through his city (we bonded over cake and a mutual love of Morrissey) and we are getting married on the four year anniversary of our first date. When I am not teaching preschool (or blogging!) you can find me perfecting recipes, petting kittens, hiking in Griffith Park, and overusing exclamation points. We are planning a vegan, green-as-possible, DIY wedding, and I couldn't be more excited to share all of the details!
About Mrs. Sprinkle

This Tornado Loves You (Redux!) : wedding los angeles pictures recap Hotel2 I have started, stopped, rewritten, erased and restarted this post a dozen times. How do you say goodbye to the people you have shared such a long and personal story with? But I am getting ahead of myself. Before I get to the tearful goodbye part…

Mr. Sprinkle and I left our wedding exhausted but ecstatic. When our cab pulled up to the hotel, I breathed a sigh of relief. Even the huge line outside the hotel’s rooftop club didn’t get me down. We hopped out of the cab, handed our bags (minus the cake, which we weren’t handing to anyone!) over to the doorman, thanked everyone who stopped to congratulate us, and grabbed an elevator up to our suite.

Finally, situated in our room, we ate dessert. And appetizers. In our wedding clothes. Then we jumped on the bed. In our wedding clothes. For a while… like, fifteen minutes of blissed-out, post-wedding bed jumping.

We also got cheesy and posed for each other.

This Tornado Loves You (Redux!) : wedding los angeles pictures recap Hotel8 This Tornado Loves You (Redux!) : wedding los angeles pictures recap Hotel1 By the time I finally peeled off my wedding dress (and Spanx: ladies, they really are comfortable for 12 hour stretches!) it was past our bedtime. Luckily, we didn’t leave for our honeymoon until midnight the next night. Mr. S and I spent a good amount of time lying in bed and just talking about being married, and then it was lights out time. You know, the good kind of lights out time.

And there you have it. Our wedding story, from top to bottom, the good and the bad. I’ve laid it all out on the table and had a great time sharing with everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has shared a piece of themselves with me, through comments and emails and in-person meetings. I couldn’t have done it without all of your help (y’all even chose my wedding shoes!) and I am blessed to have had a part in such a wonderfully supportive community.

So, while I promise to be back someday (armed with tutorials on vegan cupcake making and photobooth construction), you can always follow my post-wedding adventures at my personal blog: No, Not Literally.

Until then,
All my love
Mrs. Sprinkle
