About Mrs. Deviled Egg

Before I take you through our first glance, I wanted to share with you all of the pretty little things and some great ring shots by our photographer, Ticia.

First up, my engagement and wedding rings resting snuggly in Mr. DE’s wedding band:

Here our my shoes along with the clutch I made for myself using the same pattern I used to make the clutches I gifted to my bridesmaids. I don’t have a picture of it, but the inside is lined with an aqua blue fabric. The accent on the outside is a belt buckle I found on clearance at Walmart. I used wire cutters to remove the backing and sewed it on with invisible thread. The clutch was the perfect size for holding my lipstick, compact, iPhone, camera, hankie and a few hair pins.

My homemade birdcage veil was probably my favorite part of my attire. I made the fascinator by taking feathers purchased at Jo-Ann’s and hot gluing them to a flower I picked up at Kohl’s. That flower matched my dress perfectly! I kept the flower and veil separate so I could change my look after the ceremony.

And, one last ring photo. This one features our centerpieces. I love this shot!

This next photo is loaded with most of my pretty wedding day details. The star of this photo is the hankie. Since I only was able to share the in-progress photos, I’m so excited to show how it turned out. My mom did such an amazing job making the lace. I absolutely love it! She sewed on a dark blue ribbon to make sure I was covered with my something blue. Turns out, I also had blue on the garter I borrowed from my oldest sister, Jen. She wore the garter on her wedding day. My mom made that, too!

The earrings and necklace were a wedding week purchase from Kohl’s. I couldn’t find pearls that I liked and most costume and special occasion jewelry was too fancy and would compete with the beaded details on my dress. When I saw this set, I liked how it was a good mix of subtle and blingy.

In the months leading up to the wedding, I was a little short on some of my borrowed and blue items. In the end, it all came together due to heirloom-quality gifts and a garter on loan.

What did you use for your something borrowed and something blue?

All photos are the work of Ticia Mangino Photography.

So much loveliness! The handkerchief is so sweet!

I have blue in threat of my Paloma’s nest bouquet tile, but my florist isn’t sure she can use it! I have no idea if there will be blue otherwise!
