Diamond or No Diamond?

April 30th, 2010 @ 2:14 pm by Ms. Stripes

Yo! Sorry for the silence—I’ve had a long and tired week. You know the type—you hit snooze 14 times and are dreaming about getting back in bed before you’ve even dragged your sorry ass out from under the covers? Yeah, it’s super glamorous here in LaLa land. Anyhoo… the silver lining to my sleepy cloud is called Ambien is that my amazing daisy wedding band is finally in the works! It feels like three years ago that I found the inspiration/awesome jeweler to create this baby and this week the CAD images arrived in my inbox. And I’m in LUUUURVE. And I’ve got a decision to make. And I need your help. So put on your thinking caps and tip ’em all jaunty like. Ready? Set. Go!

Pretty rad right? And while I initially asked for the diamond centered daisy, now I’m thinking I like the beauty of the design sans diamond. Crazy right?

So the all-important question today is: diamond or no diamond?

I love it with the diamond - I think it makes it totally a stand-alone wedding band, if you elect to not wear it with your engagement ring.

Other than that - LOVE!

I love bling so I would get it with the dimond, but if you decided not to the ring would not look lost without the dimond:)

sans diamond!! I agree it sounds crazy, but the band is already so ornate… it’s beautiful without it!

I think I prefer it without the diamond.

I vote no diamond. It is beautiful and unique and will look amazing with your e-ring. Plus, your e-ring is impressively blinged out with that fabulous aqua stone already!

My vote is for without. I love the design of it and it almost seems like the diamond makes it over the top. Not over the top gaudy but it just seems like it is not needed. Did that make any sense? :)

I’m thinking without the diamond - but it’s beautiful, either way.

I like the no diamond one because I think the ring is gorgeous and intricate just on it’s own!

As someone who irrationally loves diamonds, I don’t think you can go wrong with a diamond in there. But I’m also going to completely shock myself and say that I think it totally works without the diamond too (maybe even better!).

Will only one of the flowers have a diamond? If that’s the case, I say go with the diamond and when you’re feeling like a no-diamond day, you can just turn the ring around. Best of both worlds?

I like the diamond and you can always have that daisy in the back if your are feeling less blingalicous one day.

Beautiful! I vote diamond. I like the trifecta of yellow gold, white gold, and diamonds :)

Gorgeous! And I say get the diamond and have the best of both worlds! Feeling blingy? Rock side up. Feeling simple? Diamond side down. Easy peasy! ;-)

I’d say without too, but liked jillianleigh’s idea if you can’t decide.
