About Mrs. Jellyfish

Etsy is My Friend

May 3rd, 2010 @ 7:22 pm by Mrs. Jellyfish

I recently made my first Etsy purchase and I’m so excited! I’ve heard great things about Etsy for a while now, but had never actually used the site. We just ordered our invitations (more on that later!) and I decided I wanted to get a rubber stamp with our names on it for the return address and RSVP envelopes. Enter Etsy. I searched around for custom rubber stamps and came across SugarLetter’s shop. They make adorable address stamps! Here are some examples:

I originally placed an order for the stamp using the bottom font, but then emailed the seller to see if she had Bickham Script, my most favorite font ever and the one that is on our invitations.

Luckily she had the font, so our return address stamp matches our invites perfectly! It just came in this week and I’m very pleased with it. I’ll post pictures of the stamp in action once we get our invites in and assembled!

Have you purchased anything through Etsy? What’s your favorite Etsy shop?

LOVE Etsy. It is with great restraint that I’ve only made 2 purchases so far.

I purchased a stamp from the same etsy seller for my return address on our envelopes, came out amazing and I’ve received a lot of compliments.

I bought a return address stamp too! I has saved me a lot of work, and my guests don’t have to try and decipher my awful handwriting. :)

@jmax: Maybe viabella is what you’re looking for? Adorable bridal purses!

I am in danger of etsy-ing myself into wedding oblivion: personlized hanger from lilafrances, garter from peterenedesign, “guestbook” from lovliday, groom & groomsmen ties from toybreaker, bridemaids’ gifts from plethora….WHEW!! And even with all these customized, perfect things I didn’t have to search a shop for, I’ve had great luck (price & product-wise) and ALL the vendors above are awesome. Etsy rocks! :D
