This is the song Mr Piglet’s little brother, J, was supposed to sing as the finale to our reception before the dance floor opened. You can’t resist head bopping, right? I couldn’t. Every time I saw J during the week, I would head bop, snap, sway back and forth, all while singing his song. It’s called See You Soon, music and lyrics all by his awesome self. The girl singing is his friend. He’s a music enthusiast (both of them are, actually), and we were so honored to have him play at our wedding. What can I say, the kid is a rock star. He’s such a cutie.

Mr Piglet and I were seated at our sweetheart table when our emcee introduced the performance. J was setup on the dance floor, ready to play. As I watched with eager eyes and ears, Mr Piglet made a beeline to the reception doors. J sat there waiting. I had no idea what was going on. Was there an issue with the audio setup?

But within seconds, Mr Piglet was on the dance floor with cue cards in hand.

And one-by-one, he flipped through the cue cards with our emcee reading each aloud for our guests.

with any luck next year

we’ll love each other as we do today

because simply said, I’m the luckiest man on this planet

without hope or agenda

just because it’s our wedding (and at weddings you tell the truth)

Feel free to gush! The true finale came next. Mr Piglet sang Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

Not only was he able to commandeer the reception planning without arousing any suspicious from me, Mr Piglet even managed to sneak in some singing classes before our wedding.

His surprise serenade just about made my heart melt.
